<p>haha i went on down the college rankings on usnews.com and found the ones I was suitable for or had a reasonable chance at acceptance. Then I went through and found the ones I actually was interested in. Lehigh happened to be one of them cause the IBE program</p>

<p>Oh okay so basically what I did! I did those college match surveys all the time when I was a sophomore and Lehigh ALWAYS came up “100%” so I looked into it. Then I started talking to a friend who goes there and my teacher who went and it quickly became my #1… Especially for engineering!</p>

<p>My adcom said hopefully by next Friday and someone else’s said hopefully by early next week. It was Sunday and it still may be, but by next week we’ll know for sure.</p>

<p>justseeingmychanc - your SATs are good, your GPA is good, you took a rigorous courseload, your work and ECs seem great, but obviously being a white, upper class male is NOT going to help much! Even still, as an ED applicant I’d say you have really good chances; I’d be a little surprised if you didn’t get accepted. Good luck!</p>

<p>justseeinmychanc- I think you’re definitely on target. like Lehigh2017 said, your gender and race are going against you. But have you contacted your admissions officer? Showed interest? ED is a great way to show interest, obviously. If you’re applying for engineering though, like BioE or ChemE, you’re chances do get reduced. Apparently this year’s applicants are really strong. I think you should just wait it out(: decisions are being released soon anyways</p>

I’m from California too! And I’m applying to IBE regular decision as well… Haha but with a focus in finance
I don’t know how to do the format thing so I’ll just put the basics
SAT: 2040 (680/660/700)
Sat 2: math 710
Uw gpa: 3.63 weighted: 4.07
Senior year course load: AP stats, AP lit, Econ, and calc 2 & 3 at a local university
Extra cirriculars: high school soccer all 4 years, club soccer since 4th grade, girl scouts for 13 years, self started this thing with social media where I was making over $1k a month. Kinda hard to explain it on here, work at Kumon, friendship circle all 4 years of hs
Volunteer work: random stuff through gs probably around 100-200 hours
Recs: didn’t see them but I got one from my AP calc teacher who also teacher at the university I take calc 2/3 at so I’m guessing it was pretty good. The other one from my English teacher and she says she only agrees to write a recommendation if she can write a fantastic one for that person so I guess it should be good
Counselor rec: probably better than average but probably generic also
Interview: yes and then Im visiting on the 10th and have an interview with the IBE director
Essays: havent written them yet… Haha I know I’m behind

I know my stats are kinda low for the IBE program so I’m hoping that the fact that I’m a girl and visiting from California will help me haha</p>
<p>A couple years ago everyone who was accepted ED was able to type in their names and their lehigh email address would put up, telling them that they were accepted a few days before the decisions were released. I’m wondering if it’ll work again this year!</p>
