Lehigh Class of 2017!

jeez haha. well i highly doubt that ED II is more competitive than RD. i really don’t wanna wait til the end of march to find out…so all you people complaining about having to wait til next week, it aint so bad. also, does lehigh defer people, or only accept/reject?

Yeah I agree with you, I think RD have more competitive students but I think a higher percentage of the EDII group are overqualified.

And thanks for putting that into perspective for me! I guess a week isn’t horrible!

As far as deferring, I think they do defer but obviously only in the ED rounds. I’ll check that for you, though! Anyway, sorry it took so long to post my stats - that formatting is horrible…

Hoping for the best! Friend got his Cornell decision back today, so jealous. The anxiety is killing me

dont know how to format, so not even gonna try haha. Good Luck to everyone else who applied ED!

Wow a letter from the SVP at Google! That’s cool! Good luck  I’m sure you’ll get in!

haha thanks, im still really nervous. College apps suck…

What major? And yes, college apps definitely suck!

mechanical engineering, I applied for IBE too though.

i just want to decisions to come out so I can know if I need to do more college apps. I’m working at a snails pace right now hoping that I’m accepted haha

nice nice. well i look forward to hearing about ED I decisions

Same… but if I dont get accepted it’ll probably take a good week before I restart! IBE sounds awesome, I almost wish I applied to that

EdwardWitten, me too!

And to answer your earlier question here’s something I found on Lehigh’s website:

“When reviewing an early decision application, the committee will defer a decision on any candidate when there is insufficient information to make an early decision commitment. It is also possible that a student may be denied admission. The Committee on Admissions will give early decision applicants some slight advantage in borderline cases because of the commitment of applying early, but the student must still present a strong record.”

do we have an exact date yet

Nope! “Mid-December” is what the portal says, “By the end of next week” is what my adcom says, and “Early next week” is what someone else on here said their adcom says. So, I’d say next week is all they want us to know!

mraaaah, haha finals are next week for me, gonna be stressin

haha just realized that there are less asians than hispanics at Lehigh and only 3% of people are from Cali, gave me a confidence boost. Wooh being asian actually helping for once!

xD yeah lehigh is pretty homogenous… white, upper middle class, north easterners. Anything else just may be a plus!

ya not many people know of it here, I had to dig around when I researched colleges

Oh this thread has busied up pretty well(:
I’m basically dying to know if I got accepted ED1 for BioE

Hey Lehigh2017 how’d that homework go;P

tortillaboy - how exactly did you find out about it? I live 30 minutes away so it wasn’t hard for me, but you’re in Cali!

LehighLove - the homework is done, that’s all that matters  It got finished in chem, actually… And we had a bomb scare at our school today so they sent us all home without our stuff so I’m homework free tonight :P
