Lehigh2017-
I dont think theyre low for lehigh but theyre low for the IBE program! Haha
Ugh wishing I applied ED now I just want to know already

Don’t know if they still do it or discontinued it but when Lehigh notified people a few years ago of their ED acceptance music played … if no music was playing…not a good day.

Lehighhopeful - well I don’t know much about the IBE program, that’s true.

WaitingDad - where did they play music? On the portal?

i’m with lehighhopeful. i just wanna be done with this process

re: i actually applied ED to the IBE with a business focus, I was told that it WOULD NOT hurt my chances if i was denied from the IBE program… is that true?

also: i have gone to information sessions, and visited once before

is IBE an honors program? if so, then yea it won’t hurt your chances for general admission

It wont hurt your chances. I had an interview with my admissions counselor and she said a lot of people will get denied from IBE but then get admitted into the regular engineering/business school

What is IBE?

So being me, in study hall I read a thread from the class of 2013. They got their decisions on December 13. This is killing me. It’s all Sandy’s fault!

I read them all too! Last year’s came out late though! Like the 18th, right?

From past ED1 threads on the Lehigh forums:

Class of 2012 - Notified 12/15/2007
Class of 2013 - Notified 12/12/2008
Class of 2014 - Notified 12/12/2009
Class of 2015 - Notified 12/15/2010
Class of 2016 - Notified 12/19/2011

Historically, decisions have gone out almost exactly at mid-December. But historically, we never get hit with hurricanes/superstorms…

can someone tell me if I am going to get in :
my brother went to lehigh and was on the deans list
my parents donate money
won’t be applying for any aid
go to a private school
have good grades
don’t have good scores- well good writing and decent math but bad reading
and i have shown a TON of interest and have a good application
my school usually does well a ton of kids have been accepted to ivys this year already no one has been rejected and barely and deferrals

oh and Lehigh2017 can you tell me what to do to see if i got accepted with the email or something?

Happybirthday22
I would say you have a great shot being Legacy, ED1, NOT requesting and Aid and having a TON of interest. You have the formula…the only thing else to help would be if you are a student of color and live in Quam.

So many kids are talking about their decisions which came out the past few days. I just want something from Lehigh it doesn’t matter if its an acceptance or rejection letter or an email saying when decisions come out ( exact date)

Hey WaitingDad

Would a letter of recommendation from the board of directors of Lehigh help a great deal?

Happybirthday22, WaitingDad is correct! You should have great chances assuming everything you didn’t tell us is up to par. And go to that site, the LDAP one, and search your last name. If its there, you’re accepted; if not, it either doesn’t work, they didn’t upload the names yet, or you weren’t accepted. So it only means anything if your name IS there.

Jigar - same! I just want SOMETHING so I can stop checking… Every time my phone vibrates I check it with such enthusiasm hoping its from Lehigh saying when decisions are coming out. Every once in awhile it is from Lehigh but about a 25% off sale on sweatpants or something haha… when that happens I get so excited and then my world shatters!

Jinkyeung - it will help you ONLY if the person genuinely knows you. If Barack Obama wrote you a letter because you paid for it, the adcoms will know and they won’t be impressed. If you are close it’s the person then go ahead, it will definitely help!

Jinkyeung
A nice letter always helps but it does not trump another equally qualified student who showed more INTEREST.
