Lehigh Class of 2017!

Oh yeah sorry, I haven’t figured it out yet either. I assumed a form would be right there! I am going to ask them and I’ll tell you what I find out.

I was told that the housing request / contract isn’t available yet. I guess we have to wait… To anyone who already did this in previous years, when did you apply for housing?

I remember doing it later on in the year. I would assume the housing is done all at once after the RD admits go out. Keep checking the Portal.

Don’t worry though, so long as you get those deposits in quickly, you should be fine. The priority of housing goes by time of deposit and not ED/RD status, major, or stats.

where can you chose the board stuff and such

We can’t choose where we are going to live yet. It’s not set up.

We still have a lot of time and when something is ready I’m sure we’ll be notified on the Lehigh Portal.

Has everyone paid there deposit already? On the Lehigh portal mine says “You are not authorized to make this payment online. Call xxx-xxx-xxxx.” Or something along those lines. I called the admissions office and they said it was fine and the deposit went through. Did anyone else have or still have this problem?

did you get an email from the bursar? we didnt have a problem. I paid it as soon as the site went back up with the UG option added. I must say, that I’m surprised that the webpages are not updated. It still has all; the 2012 info up. I had to call and tell them there was no fall 2013 option for payment. We made the deposit and got an immediate confirmation. I’d call the bursar, not the admissions office, just to makes urei t went through

The site said to call the admissions office, but you’re right I should call the Bursar’s office, also. I paid mine on the 26th, when were they having problems? I hope I paid mine right!

To start the conversation in the 2017 group or not…

Sure! Anything to stop me from studying…

I just found out someone else from my school applied ED (and got accepted). It’s pretty weird that I didn’t know since it’s a very small school. Anyway, when I was first applying I didn’t want anyone else from my school to go to Lehigh so I could be on my own but now, I have to admit, it’s pretty cool knowing someone that’s going to be in my class next year!

Hey, I got in ED, payed my deposit, and was just wondering if anyone knows whether we get to choose a preference for which building we are in or if it’s just random.

I thought I should join in on the conversation. My names Harry, from NJ, and going in with a major in Environmental Engineering (probably the least popular engineering major)
Accepted as EDI

gym - I don’t think that we can pick which building but we can pick single, double, or triple. The earlier the deposit is paid, the bigger the room you get, so they say.

Devils123 - welcome! Environmental engineering is getting more popular at least. There are so many engineers that got accepted ED!

Did our get your deposit confirmation lehigh2017?

Hey guys, I got accepted ED and now I’m trying to pay my deposit. However, I’m having problems and whenever I call it seems no one is in the mood or willing to help me out with the problem. When I go to the Student Account Suite and put in my username it tells me I’m missing a PIDM or my Student_ID. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong and am hoping one of you guys can help me.

Britsmum - I got an email within a few hours saying -

“This is an automated message to confirm that your payment has been submitted.
Please note that this payment is subject to approval and final verification.”

Is this the confirmation? I called and they said they got the deposit but my portal still says “You are not authorized to pay online, please call the admissions office at 610-758-3100.”

daniixx -

I don’t know what a PIDM is. Did you get your LIN and PIN number? They should have come in your acceptance letter and the letter that came after that. I thought the whole process to pay the deposit was ridiculously frustrating, too.

Have you read this yet? This is from Lehigh’s website http://www4.lehigh.edu/admissions/undergrad/admitted</a></p>

"On the back of your offer of admission letter you will find your Lehigh Identification Number (LIN). Due to security reasons, we will mail you your Personal Identification Number (PIN) under a separate cover in a few days. You will need these two numbers to open your account. You will also need these two numbers once you enroll at Lehigh, so please keep them in a safe place.

PIN Tips:
*PINS are case sensitive
*The number zero and the letter O can sometimes be confused. If the number zero doesn’t work, try the letter O and vice-versa.
*The number one has a flag at the top. The letter I is a straight up and down line.
Next, visit https://www.lehigh.edu/open2/</a>.
After you enter your LIN and PIN in the appropriate boxes, you will be assigned a User ID, which will consist of three letters followed by three numbers.
You will be asked to create a password.
It is very important that you retain your User ID and password to log into the Campus Portal in the future.
Accessing the Portal If You Have Already Opened Your Account:

You must have your User ID and Password available (see “How to Open Your Account”)
Visit https://cp5.cc.lehigh.edu/login/</a>.
Enter your User ID and Password to gain access to the Lehigh Campus Portal."

Hey daniixx,

I also ran into the same problem as yours. After a little search on Google, I found out that “Missing PIDM or Student_ID” probably meant your ID or password was wrong. What I did was to shorten and simplify my password, from 20 letters and numbers to just 15, with no upper-case letters and it worked! I successfully logged in the “Student Account Suite” page. In brief, you should try simplifying your password: go to this page – https://www.lehigh.edu/change/open.cgi</a></p>

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Chanh

Thanks guys, you helped a lot! Chanh, I think that the problem was my password being too long. I was able to get in after changing it. Thanks again guys.
