I heard they’re reviewing all the transcripts (even those validated) and are rejecting everyone who didn’t actually meet the senior contract provisions. People whose transcripts aren’t going to be punished, but rather those who, you know, actually deserve it.

not true!!!

my transcripts are still not validated. The checkbox for transcripts received was checked off like 3 weeks ago. SUddenly today, it got unchecked! whats going on?!

but, in order to be validated, wouldn’t they have to make sure that you did meet those contract provisions?

r-akt, wth are you talking about?

why would they double check - triple check ,when they barely have time to do it once?

“they don’t even have enough room for those people that are accepted”

yes, i think it is true, they are finding everyway to kick out people.

i am one of the victims, being kicked out for minor mistakes, oh, how can ucsd claiming itself a reputable school would do this.

i regret very very much in opting ucsd instead of other uc, i swear i will never consider ucsd again in future no matter undergrad/graduate study.

I was trying to scare alleycat, who seems to get off on being a dick.

So um… why has no one mentioned what they were told by Admissions… someones had to have called questioning their cancellation of acceptance…

Someone?

Sheep99, You are absolutely right and if enough people agree with you and me, this is an open and shut case and I think we have a legal class action suit that is easily winnable if we band together. Let’s all contact seniordiscount who originally said we should fight it on one of these threads and find a way to do it with a good personal injury lawyer. UCSD should never get away with this!

I called, but I was canceled because I got a D. DId anyone who received a grade of 3.0 or lower and a D not get rescinded? The lady said that UCSD is rescinded everyone who did not meet the provisional requirements:(, I’m not sure if she’s just following procedure to say it, or its actually true. Years before when stuff like this happens most people are fine and their admission isn’t canceled. I had a really big situation in which prevented me from doing a final project and I wrote a letter but they said they don’t read those letters and that once I get my rescinding letter I must re-send the letter. Was this always how it worked?

:(

depressed and in despair

yeah i have mixed feelings…it was ucsd who accepted too many people and in turn now have to rescind people for not achieveing the requirements (even though i bet people from previous yrs were accepted even with failing the senior requirements). But blame must be placed on the students as well…the avg weighted gpa is like 3.8-4 which is an A and now students r getting Ds which is a dramatic decrease
just my opinion

i have a feeling i might get rescinded too. for the people who got rescinded, UCSD should at least let them go to other UCs… this is really messed up, especially for the people who wanted to experience college life =/

for those who received ds and fs , you did sign a contract in your application, an electronic one where you agree that your admission can be revoked if information you provided is false ,etc and on the provisional agreement contract too it says that crap, you signed it

to all those that got rescinded because of grades:

c’mon! did you really think UCSD was joking about the provisional agreement!!! i mean…its really not that hard to get at least a C in your class…jeez

either way, i still wish you all the best. hopefully next time you’ll take something like this more seriously :/

u guys are not going to win a class action lawsuit because u signed the agreement

The suit refers to the transcripts issue, not the grades issue.

Ahh!! You some of you got your admissions revoked!? For those who lost their admissions due to grades, keep fighting, and let this be a lesson learned!

Does Tritonlink say you are now rejected due to missing transcripts? For most UCs, missing transcripts would cause a “light hold.” Maybe it’s an automatic system thing, and you can still send them your transcript?

Anyway, good luck to everyone. This sounds like it really sucks…

uhh i think you guys got the point of his lawsuit all wrong. The student means about being rescinded because UCSD says they never received the transcript not because they received a bad grade.

hmmm…regarding the lawsuit…i’m still worried about how you guys are going to prove that UCSD indeed received the transcripts and then chose to purposely ignore them. hopefully you sent them certified or your high school has a record of whether or not they were actually sent. best of luck

hs schools keep record or all the transcripts they send to any other school, college or job. So if you can get a copy of that record, you’ll have good proof that the transcripts were sent to ucsd.

i dont think its a matter of transcripts received, i think its the grades
