Let's name the royal baby!

I think if we all come up with a few good names, they’ll probably use one of them, don’t you think? Remember – it has to sound royal.

Boy:
George

Girl:
Fiona

Now it’s your turn

I just read that the odds are 8 to 1 that if it’s a girl, they’ll name her Elizabeth. The odds are 12 to 1 they’ll name her Diana.

And if it’s a boy – aren’t they all named Charles William George Harry Phillip, in some random order??l

Fiona is not a “royal” name by any stretch of the imagination, although I like it.

My first thought was “anything but Diana.”

Elizabeth is good. And there’s always Victoria. I don’t know why I’m assuming it sill be a girl…

Boy George is taken - not sure I’d want that link!

Boy:
Samue
Girl:
Michelle

None royal, for sure, but after Fiona, we are free…

Boy: Arthur
Girl: Eleanor

They should go back to the original Britons:

Uther - as in Uther Pendragon - for a boy. Or Ethelred, to erase the undeserved stain of being “the unready” because he really was but just plain lost the 2nd of two huge fights. (He beat the Vikings and then had to take on the Normans and we know what happened.)

Boadicia for a girl. She led one of the fiercest uprisings against Roman rule. Queen Victoria was sometimes portrayed as her so there’s a family connection of sorts. Neat thing is you can spell it any way you want.

Boy: George William Frederick
Girl: Sophia Anne Elizabeth

Whether male or female: Farnesworth (although he/she might be confused with the butler). In which case Duke, Buster, Leon or BigDaddy might be better.

Female: Prudence or Cheyanne or Sindi.

Lergnom, I was thinking of Boudicca also.

I like your suggestions, zoosermom, but the last Arthur–Henry VIII’s older brother–was ill-fated.

Spencer William or Mary Elizabeth

Wait! Is there a royal baby on the way? Did I miss an annoucement?

Boy: Alexander Charles Phillip Henry

Girl: Alexandra Catherine Elisabeth

The announcement came via CNN. I guess it is important world wide.
Girl: Victoria Elizabeth (no questions about it)
Boy: George William

Boy: Spencer
Girl: Diana

maybe as one of the middle names

cottonwood – don’t you go to the grocery store? The tabloids have been saying she’s pregnant for months now! :)

I think if it’s a girl, they might incorporate Kate’s mother’s name (Carol). Maybe…Caroline Elizabeth Victoria Diana (is 4 the max?)

I really, really do hope it’s “Diana” if a girl.

Maybe it would be healing to combine “Diana” with “Elizabeth” ?

If a boy – I’m drawing blanks. Maybe name him after Kate’s granddad!

I used to be the nanny for two blond siblings before I had my oldest and we still exchange Christmas cards. The boy grew up to look a lot like William ( although I think he is better looking), so I suggest if the baby is a boy, he is named Gregory.

Elspeth or Charlotte, for a girl.
They can add whatever multiple middle names as they see fit. :)

I have a feeling it is going to be a boy.
Rumor says its twins!

Elizabeth Diane–then we can call her “Betsy D”

George and whatever the Queen Mum’s name was if it’s a girl.

Love, love, love Elspeth but Betsy D would be fab, as well~
