Let's name the royal baby!

No Spencer please. But if you like Spencer then we might as well go with The Hills theme.
Boy: Spencer Brody Justin Bobby
Girl: Lauren Whitney Heidi Audrina

BTW, Anne didn’t lose her chance at the throne when William was born, but rather when Prince Andrew was born. Both Andrew and Edward are ahead of her in the line of succession. That’s what will now change with Will & Kate’s children. It always had to depend on the odds of reproduction of inbred royalty for them to get a Queen. Think of all the Henry VIII went through to try and get a son…

Not only do Andrew an Edward rank ahead of Anne in the line of succession, but so do any children (and grandchildren, etc) that Andrew and Edward have or will have in the future.

Anne is outranked by her brothers Charles, Andrew and Edward, and by her nieces and nephews William, Harry, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise, and James. As the nieces and nephews start having babies, those children will all outrank Anne.

Thanks for correcting my info on Anne. Good that she can dote on her nephews freely. So she’ll be Great Aunt Anne.

What is Camilla to the upcoming baby? Is she grandmother? Isn’t that an unprecedented relationship?

^^I imagine that Camilla will be the baby’s step-grandmother. I also imagine there have been several similar royal step-grandparents over the centuries. It’s a possibility every time a king or heir apparent remarries after having kids by a prior spouse.

I had a milder form of this extreme morning sickness with all my kids. It sent me to the ER several times for IV fluids. During my last pregnancy, 12 years ago, my doctor prescribed me Zofran. That stuff was a blessing. I still felt somewhat nauseated but wasn’t vomiting constantly. With each pregnancy the length of morning sickness lasted longer. I’d start being sick around 4/5 weeks and with the last didn’t stop until 24 weeks.

Hopefully they can give Kate some meds to make her feel better.

Charles & Camilla are already grandparent by Camilla’s son Tom parker and his wife Sara.

I see people are still racking their gray matter over this, so maybe we should just vote on the most popular ones suggested so far. My quick survey produced the following:

Boy’s Name: Spike, Elvis, Achmed, Moocher (he might have to earn the last one since it’s more of an honorific)

Girl’s Name: Brooklyn, Destiny, Brittany, LaWanda

LaWanda – love it – Princess LaWanda. But did you check the history books? Maybe it’s been used before.

Eggbert – you too are on a distinguished road :)

Looking at a map of London, I vote for Victoria for a girl. That name is everywhere in London!

Rooting for an Eleanor or Mathilda for a girl and George or Arthur for a boy. A different website had Leopold and Alfred as possibilities.

James and Spencer for boys, Marguerite and Mary for girls and Thing One and Thing Two for twins. Or Frick and Frack.

Kate’s not having twins. She would have told me.

Gosh - apparently the nurse who took the crank call is dead! The newspapers say so this morning. How bizarre.

I heard that the nurse’s death was ruled a suicide. How very tragic.

She must have been so mortified by hearing her voice played all over the planet, being duped by the pranksters. Just unspeakably sad. Mom of two.

Most people would just laugh it off. There must have been something else seriously wrong in her life.

Yes, this was all over the news yesterday.

She wasn’t the one whose voice was heard. She’s the nurse who put the call through to Kate’s personal nurse, who then commented to the Australians.

Very sad, indeed.
