The last time I went for a manicure I got this color.

@Consolation whoa, that’s quite a color! I do not have the skin tone to pull that off, and green is my favorite color.
I saw a commercial on TV last week about a spray on nail polish. It apparently washes off your skin, but stays on your nails. I only do my toes, but kind of hate doing it and have trouble getting a smooth finish even with buffing, etc. Has anyone tried it?
My toes are now sporting Opi’s “I Eat Mainely Lobster.”

I just had a pedicure today, and my toenails look ready for summer! I have OPI’s Strawberry Margarita, love it.
Intparent, when I am in a hurry, I use Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes in darker colors. One coat looks smooth and dries fast (For base and top coats, I use the OPI stuff I got as a kit).

My nails are in awful shape, cuz of biting them at night. I do my own toes, now purple.
Well, intparent, if NaP sells it, it must be a real deal! NaP sells mostly top of the line stuff.

Looks interesting!
^^Such potential to go horribly wrong, lol.
That looks like something that even I could do!
I am interested if anyone tried the sprays. I still have the strips on and they look great.
@rockymtnhigh, you will know soon. I ordered a can of spray from NaP. It should be here in a couple of days. The instructions say it has to be used with the base coat, so that is probably the trick. It sticks to the basecoat and washes off everything else. Fascinating, especially for a chemist.
I’ve used the Insta-Dry polish for years. I love how fast it dries since I’ve lost all patience as I’ve aged. I used to love the OPI polish but I can’t sit still for it anymore. I have that blue @BunsenBurner and love it. I used to be only a pink and red girl, but I’ve ventured into blue, gray, and purples lately.
Does anyone plan on getting this? A sandicure - LOL!!

^^the texture on that would absolutely drive me up the wall and I’d pick it all off in seconds.
Reporting on the Nailsinc Paint Can aka NGS (that is what Mr. called it - “nail graffiti system”). Success! The painting is a breeze: base coat of Nailsinc (dried really fast), then a quick spray, followed by a 2-min drying time and another coat of clear basecoat (which also works as topcoat). The painting is a time saver, but the whole process does requires some time to scrub the paint off the skin (it comes off OK, just needs some rubbing with a soapy washcloth). I think the process took 20 min. Next time, I will put some lotion on the skin around the nails, wipe the nails with acetone before base coating, and then do what the instructions say. This should make washing easier.
Have to say that immediately after spraying, my toes looked like they were bloodied with a chainsaw. They look fine now with perfectly red nails. I used the color called West End.
I think here is the secret: the paint comes as a suspension of paint particles in some sort of solvent/propellant. The solvent dissolves the basecoat surface just enough for the paint particles to stick to it, and the solvent just evaporates off the nearby skin leaving the paint particles loosely attached to the skin. Top coating further seals the color into the polish. Soap and water remove the loose stuff, but the embedded into the basecoat stuff stays on. Mystery solved.
Happy to be a CC beauty product guinea pig.
@BunsenBurner, did it make a mess beyond your toes? I envision a do-it-outdoors spray paint project . . .
No mess - I used newspaper under the toes and did the project while sitting on the kitchen floor, feet flat on the newspaper. The can is very small and the spray nozzle is very directional, so it does not spray all over the place - not even a droplet on the hardwoods (and I am paranoid about my maple floors). I recommend threading a rolled paper towel between the toes (like they do in professional nail salons), it will minimize the surface that needs to be washed.
I’m really tempted to try it on my fingernails, but I’m not crazy about any of the colors for that purpose…
