How competitive is this scholarship program? Do you have to be a HYPS caliber student to be competitive?

I’m interested in this also

bump

bumppppppppppppppppppppppp

I would assume that because of the number of applicants and how large the awards are that it’s very competitive.

I can’t speak with certainty, but I do know that a girl who was a 2013 Coca Cola Scholar from my school was admitted to the biomedical engineering program at Johns Hopkins, so I’d say that that gives you some idea of the applicant level.

The level of competition is very high, but you should apply anyways. The online application doesn’t take that long (no initial essays) and you never know what others will see in you that you don’t see in yourself!

Good luck!

This might sound stupid, but can you apply if you work for pepsi?

From what I hear it is very competitive but I still decided to apply so I’d say go ahead and still apply

Mbg, I am sure that it does not say anywhere “Employees of competing soft drink manufacturers may not compete”

That was hilarious though:)

I would imagine it’s very competitive considering the first round. According to the Semi-finalist email, only 2,000 students were accepted out of 100,000, meaning the first round only had a 2% acceptance rate.
