If you could please answer these seven questions that would be great

-What is life like at Loomis Chaffee?
-Are the classes hard?
-How many free periods are given throughout the day
-On a scale from 1-10 how good is the food?
-How many clubs and athletics can you join?
-What time do you have to go to bed?
-Can you bring your own tv?

Prep school mom of student at Loomis: Loomis is very much a multi-diverse environment; teachers are dedicated and available; the school tries to balance academics with more social aspects. Classes are arranged for the individual student to “be his or her best self.” In other words, students are encouraged to stretch, but not go so far as to drown in academia. You may have a couple free periods a day depending on your personal schedule. My son would say the food was a 9-10, because he loves the variety and he eats a very healthy diet as an athlete. Each term (trimester), one can take part in a new sport. There are plenty of clubs to choose from if you don’t lean towards athletics. Bed for freshmen is around 10:00 p.m. or a little after, as there is mandatory study hall after dinner. I have never seen a TV set in dorm rooms, as there are student lounges in each dorm that have TV sets. Believe me, you won’t have time for TV during the week. Classes are rigorous, and balancing time is a must. Overall, my son loves it there.
