<p>There’s this phenomenon at my school, that as soon as anyone gets into a good college, the news spreads like wildfire to EVERYONE. It’s like the vast network of IM, Facebook, myspace, etc. is an instantaneous connection. <em>Snap</em> and the whole school knows.</p>

<p>When MIT decisions came out today, I got bombarded with IMs as soon as I signed on: “Did you hear that ______ got into MIT!?!?!?!”</p>

<p>Is my school just ridiculously college obsessed?</p>
