Likely Letter Stats

Congrats sferics! This is awesome! Also, swim is an athlete, but she received a non-athletic likely letter like I did.

There were definitely far fewer likelies on CC last year.

y’all are making me feel like a failure. I don’t like you.

Sferics, do you attend an elite preparatory school?

Yea, I was not a recruited athlete

I attend a residential math and science high school.

Let me guess… Thomas Jefferson

lkahsgagri4g;s curiosity consumes me. today, harvard called my house when i was at school. my mom was in the shower and missed it… is there a chance that it was a likely? if it was, im going to go crazy out of joy (but completely doubtful that it was a likely “letter” call)

Incredible! Congratulations to all that I’ve missed in the last few days. (It’s term paper/mock trial season, so I’ve been sparse. =P)

Crazy about the schools with three likelies… my school hasn’t even had three people accepted since it opened (in like… the sixties) haha!

Jsungoh, from the anecdotes on this board and my own experience, more often than not, likelies receive a phone call before a letter.
I hope that’s what has happened to you!

@ aleader: If this is correct, I’m going to literally cry out of happiness >< omgg i wished my mom picked it up. now im all like ._. at the phone right now. is there any way I can call them and ask them about why they called? o:

I hope that me submitting to them the letter that I’m a finalist for Gates Millennium was the thing that tipped me over the potential rejection or waitlist ><

^jsungoh

I wish you the best! I hope you did get the letter.

@cait
I just read your comment earlier lol. You have a great sense of humor and I wish I could give one of them to you haha. But don’t lose faith. I’ll pray that you get in!

jgedwards, you are very sweet  thank you very much! I know that He will lead me to wherever is right and I’m simply praying that I will be happy with it! But of course, I suppose praying for Harvard never hurts either. Thanks, and congratulations again!

Oh man, i’m praying three times a day that I get in!

I’d like to say congrats to all that received likely letters! Tomorrow we will be joined by our fellow classmates, and it was an honor to have shared this time with you guys. Have fun opening your acceptance email tomorrow!

a little less than 18 hours! o.O

Hi guys ! congratz to the other people that got likelys !! I also got one like at the beginning of March and I cant wait for decisions today ! hoping that my best friend gets in =D

7 hours and 27 minutes. I. Can’t. Handle. It.

I’ve decided that my anxiety over my admissions decision is inversely proportional to the time left until decisions. AT = Constant. Maybe I should get accepted for developing that formula. “Independent Psychological Research”.

I’m almost a hundred percent positive I got rejected, great GPA and such, not so great SAT scores [[1780…combined]]. But you guys are worrying too much! I see 20somethng SATs score and I think wow…that’s already such an accomplishment. No matter the adcoms decision wear it proudly! You’ve worked hard and one piece of paper cannot take that away!
