Likely Letter Stats

So did she lie about her gender, or did he lie about his gender? :D;)

Argh, today is the last day for likely letters right?

Edit: I just thought about it and I realized that we may get them until the 20th, because of mail policies etc. There still is hope!

@felix: I wasn’t born in the U.S.
@may: Thank you! : ) I thought my supp essay would either be a hit or miss but I’m glad it came through!
@homer: She was actually female.

Congrats youngjustice! Welcome to the club lol. Are you going to attend the visiting weekend?

How many are in this club so far (how many likelies have come out on CC)?

I didn’t do the optional Harvard supplement essay. Am I screwed?

Note: I hate writing. I’m unoriginal and not creative. I can (and like to) write amazing fact-based pieces, like lab reports and research papers, but I can’t write about “an experience with adversity that I’ve faced and how I’ve grown from it” or “my leadership in my community” or any other generic college essays. I decided that writing an additional essay could only hurt my application, since it would be a crappy thrown-together last minute essay, and since the ADCOM has 34,999 other apps to read and the last thing they want to do is read another boring essay of mine, ending my application reading on a bad note.

Note 2: I also sent in an arts supplement for music, which took me a long time to compile. However, it is very good. If a miracle occurs, this supplement might make up for my lack of a writing supplement.

No you’re not screwed… IMO, good call on your part; a thrown together essay would’ve likely pointed an admissions officer in the wrong direction.

Today I found out that 3 people (including me) got likely letters from Harvard! Isn’t that crazy?

stats or it didn’t happen (joking, but i’d like to know more deets!)

Swim, did you get a call?

Btw is today the last day for Harvard likely letters

@jgedwards: Thanks! I will be visiting in April : )

@youngjustice

Awesome! I hope to see you there!

@felixfelicis

I went through and counted 11 academic likelies and 1 athletic likely. I think that’s very impressive! Out of the 100 academic likelies that are given, eleven use this website! Correct me if I’m wrong, but I have:

Omg guys, I have a question. Do any ivies send likely’s in a parcel? My mailman just passed by and I missed him, but he left something saying it was a parcel that needs a signature. I didn’t order anything from any third party websites, no one is sending anything to me, so I know this is definitely weird. Also, I heard a girl once say that Yale sent her a likely, called her, and sent her a sweater (which I assume might be in this parcel).

Opinions? I don’t want to get excited over nothing.

Not parcel. Should be in mailbox

Okay! Thanks for the quick reply lol

PS- two other people from my school got likely letters! one is a published author and the other is an URM with a perfect SAT and many other qualifications. Both are outstanding!

I also got a call and likely letter several days ago. Two others at my school received the same. None of us are athletes.

Is this the same school as SWIM? She is an athlete…

No, different school. I posted because her post made me think of our school though.

This is definitely unreal - does anyone know how this year compares to last year, in terms of likely letters sent to CCers?
