<p>vivahg11, so glad your D’s friend is loving Drew. I agree, the campus of Drew is really pretty, with lots of trees. And it’s very accessible to NYC.</p>
<p>I think location, campus size and overall atmosphere is a very, very individual thing, which is why it’s important to visit, either before or after acceptances! My D applied to Northwestern without our visiting as we don’t have a great deal of money; when she was accepted, we flew out to see it. It was April and very cold. She took a step out of the shuttle from the airport, breathed in the chilly windy air, gestured to the lake and said, with her hair whipping all over her face, “Wow, I love it here!” Good thing, right?</p>
<p>ctl987, my son is homeschooled and is taking a gap year (he turned 18 last spring). He’s applying to all auditioned BFA programs. First auditions start in January!</p>
