The people chatting on the website are hoing its a small crack (a “pip”) in the second egg. But daddy eagle is sitting on the nest right now… so cant see

LOL we are all cross posting

Didn’t mean to be a tease - I saw a little hole.

I just logged on and saw the changing of the guard. So sweet.

Looks like theres something happening with the second egg!

Parent (dad?) is standing to one side as Phoenix nibbles a pine branch. OH GOOOOD, SO CUTE!!

And now it looks like it’s baby feeding time!

Both parents together again…

OMG! They left the babies home alone without a sitter.

ETA: Whew! only for a sec.

Yep, I was ready to call CPS! I think Dad isn’t having good fishing luck with all the wind today - hard to see fish underwater or fishy wakes. These birds sure do make a racket. I once camped near a nest in Alaska, and after morning twilight hit about 3 am, there was no sleeping.

According to the chatter on the website, thats dad on the nest and mom has gone fishin’

I’ve been gone. Is there a hole in the egg or not?

I’m not seeing a hole or crack or anything. Dang it.

When both parents were off the nest I was afraid Phoenix would blow away. And that fish opening it’s mouth was creepy.

Notice how the fish didn’t even move until the parent birds flew away? Then, it gasped and slithered toward Phoenix before running out of steam. It was playing possum!

Mom and Dad together…they just traded places.

Breakfast time!

Probably just a leaf but possibly a hole in the second egg?

The baby is eating again! I don’t see any marks on the egg.

I’m concerned that the second egg isn’t going to hatch.
