<p>The egg is still there!</p>
<p>Wow! Compare the size of Phoenix to the size of the egg! S/he has certainly grown in the past 2 weeks!!</p>
<p>Beautiful shot of breakfast right now. </p>

<p>If there’s no hole in the egg, I don’t think it’s stinking. I just wonder what’s going to happen to it.</p>
<p>Woody, I was noticing the same thing yesterday. The second egg is about the same size as Phoenix’s head now!</p>

<p>Phoenix just spent some time preening (?) his coat before closing his eyes to nap - nap under the watchful eyes of a parent, but on his own. His coat has already started to look different. Cute moment - he was cleaning his back and tumbled right over.</p>

<p>It is feeding time in both nests!</p>
<p>Amazing how fast these babies are growing!</p>
<p>I am still watching those eagles. That baby sure is growing.</p>
<p>Wow…who knew a sleeping baby eagle could be so cute. Who knew they slept??? You never see pictures of sleeping birds…the things I am learning on CC are numerous.</p>
<p>Moist and windy this AM. Mom is still snuggling Phoenix! BTW the sleeping baby was adorable!</p>
<p>Looks stormy - or at least a storm on the way with some fierce wind. Dad or Mom Hornby made some nest adjustments to snuggle Phoenix in a bit and now waits and watches. Some of those wind gusts shook the nest - I’m glad Phoenix got tucked in.</p>
<p>I checked again and found Phoenix by him/herself - and the wind remains strong. A parent finally came with food - and much fussing. Phoenix is eating like s/he’s starving. I’m just glad a parent - both parents now - are back.</p>
<p>Cool and windy - just imagine how many calories the parents have to be bringing back to the nest, and with little time in between. Phoenix is doing great but is by definition “high maintenance”</p>

<p>Rain on Hornby Island. I watched Phoenix wiggle as far as he could get under his parent.</p>
<p>Phoenix is huge! and much more bird-like.</p>
<p>I"m glad I got to see this little eaglet. Hearing the eagle calls has been neat, too.</p>
<p>He is growing so fast!</p>
<p>Hadn’t checked in on him/her in several days. Growing well!</p>
