Love hearing the little chirps now!

I saw it too…

The Eagle did it again; it pushed the ‘younger’ egg, but did no rearrange the egg with the crack…nice sight!

My dog is going crazy every time the adult eagle screeches! He never ever pays attention to anything on t.v. or the computer but this has even got his attention!!

Dang! It’s still night in BC. I can’t wait to see what the morning shows us. :)

DB, yes…now not only can I be accused of “staring at those birds again”, I can be found staring at a black screen too!!! :D

I hope to be witness of this wonderful event: the birth of those two powerful and gorgeous Eagles!

-"Bald eagles mate for life and build large nests that are used year after year. Often the annual nest-preparation includes additional construction increasing the size of an already large nest. In time some nests have been known to reach 10 feet in diameter. "

It is dark but I can hear a lot of movement in that nest and some and little chirps once in a while…cute!

Thanks for posting the link! It’s daybreak - I can see a little bit…

Are both chicks out? Or just one? I couldn’t really tell, but it looked like both. Pretty exciting to see the fluffy feathers!!

I think it is only one, it is so cute trying to wiggle the rest of the way out of the shell!

Naturally - thanks - I hope that the second egg hatches on the weekend!! Someone posted a still shot of the baby on fb that I can see - so cute!!!

Mom just shifted and I saw the little grey ball of fluff (and second egg) - so cute!

I just saw the one baby!

The parents just switched out and I got a great view of the baby! :)

Yes!!! Oh dear, I really do need to work.

Okay. So do we all. But mama just left the nest for a few seconds. Chick that’s out is s-o-o-o-o wobbly, but I believe second egg is still intact.

All I see is bird butt… :(

Although I have become quite devoted to the Hornby Eagles, I’m checking in on the Sidney eagles too! They are also in British Columbia (not Australia!) and their eaglet has been out for a few days!

Thanks twinmom, those hatchlings are alone at the moment! So cute!
