<p>H and I would prefer that our kids not live with a SO during undergrad. S1 wanted to senior year, but we talked about costs (saving money not an issue), what if you breakup, need for a car (house was far from campus). What finally decided him was 6 am swim practice would require getting up early, cleaning off snowy/iced car 4 days a week. A single in the dorm sounded better. Time was more valuable, though he saw GF a lot. They broke up a year later.</p>
