@KBTDPT @amsunshine my daughter was accepted also, yesterday at 5 p.m., but also didn’t receive an email notifying her - still hasn’t received one.
Same here, no email but the portal changed right at 5PM PT. I wonder if by checking the portal at that time, it canceled the email notification (system saw we checked?). Only reason I can think of.
Hey everyone! Congrats to those who got in. I was wondering if you guys got a merit aid aware in your acceptance letter? for other schools, it immediately listed how much merit award i got in their acceptance letters. let me know pls!
My son was admitted for Media Studies last night. No mention of a merit award. I heard we hear about financial aid/ merit aid in a month or so? Weird how this has changed since my older son applied 4 years ago–packets were mailed with acceptances and all financial information included. This process is pretty annoying-- it’s hard to know whether to be excited if you don’t know if it’s affordable.

Same here for son. Film deferral, asking for fall grades. High grades, IB, high leadership, president, extensive extras, awards, strong essays, slightly above average SAT, etc. Frankly surprised because of his profile compared to some admits. This wasn’t his reach school so kind of bummed. Let’s hope for the best for all deferrals! Congrats to all the admits! Denies, it’s tough right now but hang in there! It somehow works out at the end. But, yeah, we all can do without the wait!
Film is a different beast at LMU from most other majors/programs. It is extremely competitive. I know some folks who transferred to LMU from USC because the program offered more opportunity, fwiw.
My DD20 was accepted last night by confetti email . When our DS received the acceptance email a few years ago he wasn’t told at that time of scholarship. That came in the mail and it was a major one. So those things are still to come. Good luck everyone!
My D (accepted ED) received her merit award today. She got the Arrupe scholarship and it was a lot more than we were expecting. Feeling really excited/blessed right now!

My son was accepted for film and television production! He’s so excited and I’m so proud of him.

deferred, 3.94 UW GPA, 32 act, 1370 sat
She applied to a lot of So CA schools (UC & Cal State) but also FL, NC & SC–not for BFA but looking at Dance B.A. & in some cases B.S. in Dance Science. She’s really very happy about LMU though & has always wanted to go to school in LA, so we shall see. It’s a great school in a great location! How about your D?

Such great news! I thought LMU didn’t send this until much later. If comfortable, can you share amount? LMU says this ranges from 12k all the way to full tuition.
