I would believe so. If not wouldn’t they have put “denied” or have a waiting list letter sent to you? (Although they are not accepting any more from waiting list).
They may need the latest spring '10 grades to be evaluated if she went to school this past semester.
I’m still waiting for transfer eval and they received it on 5/14. Hope it comes soon.

I have been out of college for 35 yrs. In my day it was easy to get into college. I feel sorry for the younger generation. If truly feel that the test for qualification is whether you students can fill out the forms properly and not miss anything. My daughter has been accepted to a couple of schools but her dream school is LMU. Good luck to you

My daughter and I are both hoping that the Admissions Dept works with the Financial Aid dept and does not send out an acceptance until the Financial Aid Dept has all their papers. Wishful thinking but why not!!!

My daughter is 24. Her Fafsa had verification. LMU asked for her Independent Verification form, her W-2 and a copy of her 2009 Federal Tax Return. Trying to stay positive this means she will be accepted.

My Paw says currently under review and on the 19th of May my daughter got an e-mail from Financial Aid requesting additional papers based on her FAFSA. We sent them the additional papers and My Aid says everything complete. What does all this mean. Getting quite anxious and nervous. Applying as a junior in Studio Arts

So for the 4th week in a row, MyPaw still says my application is currently under review. I thought lmu was supposed to inform us transfers the decision by today, June 1st. This poses a problem since it is not yet decided since my SIRs for other schools are due today–but LMU is my first choice. However, if they rejected me I would go to my back up school, but its a difficult gamble to make since I have absolutely no answer from then. thoughts? anyone going through the same stress as I am today?

My advice is to pay the deposits for the other schools. Its a small price to pay for the insurance it provides. I have done this for my Grandchild for 3 schools. As I said the hope on our side is when MyAid requested Verification based on FAFSA on 5/19 that Financial Aid was finalizing a Financial Aid package based on information from Admittance. Hopefully not wishful thinking.

hey everyone

if anyone is worried about their spring transcripts having been evaluated or not don’t worry!
I had made my evaluation appointment while i was still in my spring semester and they jsut had me bring a copy of my classes just so they could go over it with me. They put them down as if you’ve passed them and that everything has gone well and just go over what your schedule should look like from there. My advisor even wrote down some of my classes that hadn’t been accepted as credit to write a recommendation to the office that they should be accepted for at least partial credit if not whole. They were super helpful! you should definitely make your appointments soon if you haven’t it clears up a lot of unanswered questions!

hope this helps some of you!

Thanks for your help/response. Don’t we have to wait for the LMU evaluation on Prowl to show up under “attributes” on the transfer eval page before we call to make an appt with an advisor?

My daughter last heard from FinAid on the 19th of May when they requested her Independent Verification Form, Tax Return and W-2. She will be a junior in Studio Arts. My Paw continues to show Currently Under Review. I talked to FinAid and they say they are waiting for Admissions to make a decision. Whats cooking? I do not want to call Admissions. She was accepted at other schools so this is not her only choice. What would anyone be doing?

I’ve noticed from past experiences it usually takes at least 14 working days to see any kind of update. I probably won’t have a response for transfer eval till wk of 6/4. Good luck. Maybe you can try e-mailing admissions…

Thanks
Hoping that this will be the week.

have you gotten any info?

I contacted Admissions and talked to the Admission Counselor/Transfer Counselor that we both met at the school. He told me her information was being reviewed by the Dean of the
Fine Arts Dept. Can we says its 50/50. Hopefully the odds are better but he told me to contact him in about a week. Keeping my fingers crossed. How are you doing and thanks for joining me in this adventure

Well, my transcript was finally evaluated but…at my previous univ I had written an essay in English which allowed me to by-pass 2nd semester Freshman composition. It is not showing up on LMU’s eval. So I left a msg at Registrar’s office and emailed Admissions yessterday. Still haven’t heard back. From past experiences, they usually don’t return calls I guess due to volume. I’ll try to call them and get an actual person. They accepted 23 hrs out of 27, if the bypass class is accepted then it will be 26 out of 30.
How’s your adventure going?

Ok, so I did not get into LMU for the Fall semester. I’m a communications major with a 3.2 (pretty low) and now I’m planning on going back to a cc and taking some other courses (3-4 classes) to raise my GPA so I can re-apply for the Spring semester. I’ve already completed 60 units as well. I know I must apply for the Spring semester by October 15, but my grades for the new classes I take this fall at the cc won’t be in until December. Will LMU be able to see my NEW grades and NEW GPA?

This year when I applied for the Fall semester, LMU did not see my spring grades, they only saw last years Fall grades and this years winter grades so my GPA pretty much sucked! Now, I want to make sure I get in. I kept getting mixed messages from the counselors and one of them told me they would have to see my spring '10 grades but they never even saw them.

Yes LMU will be able to see your final grades even though it will be past Oct 15. As soon as you complete the Fall semester have a transcript showing ALL WORK completed (not just the Fall) sent to LMU. That’s what I did.

Adventure still going. They mentioned possible spring grades so I decided to have the transcript sent to them. They have not requested it but I figured it cannot hurt. GPA for Fall 09, Winter 2010 and Spring 2010 is around 3.7 I hope they honor what they post about looking at the most recent grades. She has a 3.6 for her last 2 yrs. Her worst grades of around 2.9 were back in 05-06 when she first started college.

anybody register for classes yet? I sent in my final transcript last week. I am still waiting to for my classes to be evaluated. also, anyone get their award letter from fin aid? I hope them give me something nice, otherwise i am going to have to give up my seat :(

Hey
sorry it takes me so long to respond im in europe and dont get on here much.

Yes i waited until my evaluation was up until i could make my appointment. You should talk to the advisor at your meeting about that class that isnt showing up and im sure they will help you out! my lady was so helpful it was overwhelming how nice she was!

also dont worry about registering for classes i guess we register on orientation. This was really weird to me because i come from a community college where u register months before to get a seat but she said they help you register your classes on orientation and save spaces for you in certain classes you may need. She said you can register earlier but that theyd rather you wait till they do it with you on orientation.

Hope this helps!
