I know this site is getting new servers and working out “kinks”…but I’m having some very inconsistent log in problems and reading of posts. Sometimes I can log in with no problems (like now) and other times, I can’t. Sometimes I can read posts with the first click, and other times I have to do it again and again. Sometimes I don’t get there at all (I was just trying to read a post on the Financial aid threads and I couldn’t seem to get it to open…this has been happening frequently in the last couple of weeks). Is this the type of “slow down” that we should be experiencing or is something else going on. I’ve checked…I have no cookie issues, and I don’t have trouble anywhere else but here.

thumper - Not a good time for you to have troubles! We need you over on that Financial Aid forum! :)

I’m not having any trouble with CC for that last few days. Sometimes I get the server too busy thing. Have you looked on the Community & Forum Issues place?

What browser are you on? I’m using the newest Firefox 2.0.0.1 (or something like that) and it’s working well.

thumper:

I’ve been having the same issues and I’m certain the problems are CC and not on my end (or your end). It’d be nice if CC would place a banner line up top or something warning that there could be problems due to an ongoing upgrade/reconfiguration and letting us know when it’s expected to be done so people don’t try to do something untoward with their PCs.

I’m having the same issues.

Funny that you should suggest the banner- I was having troubles logging in during the server conversion, so went to the main screen, where it says in big letters that the forums are down during the computer repair/maintenance/upgrade. However, it’ still saying this, and has been since Sunday, when I was first able to get back into the forums (despite some weird typos, TM symbols and a few other odd things…).

That’s good - when I checked when the problems first appeared I couldn’t find any indication anywhere including the main screen. It’s not that big of a deal - they’re not charging me money for this. :)

Oh thank you all. I always think it’s ME when there’s a problem!!!
