<p>Cullen Jones lost the relay. Slowest split 49 sec. Grevers did a 47.5 in the prelims. All 4 prelim splits were faster.</p>

<p>Wow. In men’s soccer Honduras knocked Spain out. Ugly at the end. The guys on Telemundo are ecstatic. I’m not.</p>
<p>Lochte swam under 48, the last French guy was a full second faster. The loss is Jones fault.</p>

<p>I don’t think she is used as a commentator at the Oly’s. She is one of the studio hosts. </p>
<p>Mizzbee, I was equally perplexed when Seacrest appeared. I think it proves NBC<br>
views the Oly’s as an entertainment event and not a sport event.</p>

<p>Wieber can compete in the team finals, but she can’t compete in the All-around finals because Olympic rules limit participation to 2 gymnasts per country.</p>

<p>His fault or not… Here is my thought… Who swims 200 free just an hour or so before a very important team event? This is not an age group meet!</p>
<p>I don’t understand why NBC had John McEnroe interviewing Ryan Lochte, but hasn’t used him on tennis. And why not use Mary Carillo for tennis as well?</p>
<p>The coach is the one who decides who will swim and in what order. I’m sure Lochte did his best, but I think this was a coaching blunder.</p>
<p>^^^Agreed. Coach should not have used Lochte as an anchor as this was his third swim of the day.</p>
<p>Yes, exactly. For some reason my rant about the coach’s decision to put a tired swimmer in a very important relay did not make it into the post.</p>
