mom60, I’m not sure about the orange - on my computer screen it looks more yellow than orange. I bought the expandable Le Pliage tote in chocolate during the Nordie’s anniversary sale, and it worked well for me on my recent trip to Napa. It is bigger than the original when fully unzipped:

BB, I clicked on your link and discovered that Nordstrom’s now ships to Canada. It’s your fault when I start shopping! I’m curious, though, can you tell me how much that tote is in the U.S.? It’s showing in Canadian dollars for me and I know that a lot of U.S. retailers gouge Canadians with the difference in price.

I have the orange color, along with several others, and it’s probably my favorite. Orange looks wonderful with tan, white, navy, brown, black, green - most every color other than perhaps red.

I love the orange, especially today as it is rainy and cold here in PA. I have my bag in bilberry and I have found that is a great neutral. Less conspicuous, too, for those of us who are limiting ourselves to one tote.

I just got back from Northeast Harbor ME and there was a shop with lots of totes on display. I resisted.

I saw the orange this summer on a visit to Nordstrom and I liked it. The colors on the website are totally off. I would have considered chocolate brown but my local Nordstrom does not have chocolate in stock and I don’t want to wait.
I considered the expandable during the sale but I like the longer straps of the regular large Le Plage tote. Alwaysamom- the large tote that is not expandable is $145 US.
I love how the weather is so different in different parts of the country and how it influences our wardrobe choices.
I woke up to SUN! I am hoping we are finally going to get some summer weather.

Thanks, BB, it’s not much more at all here which is surprising, $197.59. That one doesn’t seem to come in the orange, but I do like the red.

mom60, we woke to a day that really feels like fall here in Toronto. Very cool and a mix of cloud and sun. After a very hot summer, it has really changed overnight. The kids heading back to school for the first day today needed a sweater or jacket for sure!

Not to derail this thread, but this weekend I was out shopping and came across a cute little boutique that had a line of bags made by Mosey. I had never seen them before and really, really liked them. I wanted to check out some other stores before I bought one, and ended up spending over two hours in another store and didn’t have time to go back and get the bag. But I found their website on line:

and am thinking about ordering one. Anyone have any of their bags? What I like about them is that they have a lot of compartments to put things in.

mom60, my two totes are hanging on the closet door knob - the handles are the same length. There is another expandable tote with short handles… Longchamp totes can be confusing. I checked the color on the other websites, and Nordy’s orange color is way off. Gourmetmom described it perfectly - it is very classy Hermes-like orange, not Yellow Cab orange-y yellow.

teri - those bags look nice. If you decide to get one, please let us know what you think about the line.

I’d also be interested in what you think of the bags, teri. My major complaint about bags these days is that they lack compartments - even the huge ones have just one large space where everything gets jumbled. I have a Fossil bag that I use for every day with lots of compartments, but I don’t like the bag itself that much.

YMMV: I don’t care for the Mosey bags. They look old-ladyish to me, and too utilitarian. (I like my bags to be utilitarian without looking utilitarian.) Not enough style for my taste.

You ladies are a terrible influence! Every time I think I’m over my urge for one of these bags, this thread resurfaces. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and just ordered the bilberry!

Well just wanted to let yall know Nordstrom has a great selection of LongChamp bags and September 14th - 18th is triple points if you purchase using a Nordie charge or Nordie visa. :)
