@ucbalumnus It’s not here yet, but I assume it will match up. The FA office told me it would. I think we’re done it’s hard for me to say goodbye to Earlham but she’s soooo happy. I wasn’t sure at first because she burst into tears…lol
Make sure that the FA offer is official before she notifies the other colleges that she will not be attending.
Assuming that the official FA offer matches expectations, then you and she can celebrate being done with college applications, and she is ready to finish high school and move on to college!

Agree, schools like St. Olaf don’t misspeak about FA packages - that’s not in their DNA. And they can back up their continued commitment to financial aid with a +$500mm endowment that has grown significantly every year over the last decade, except during the 2008-2009 financial crisis when all took a hit.
Congratulations! This has been quite a journey for your family.
I hope the financial aid lines up, but see no reason why it shouldn’t.

Now, the most important thing is for her to prepare herself for the:
- Cold, and
- Accent
I suggest watching Fargo and other films that attempt to portray the minnesota (or Wisconsin, or – more extreme – UP of Michigan) accent.
She can practice by holding her nostrils shut and speaking. haha. And… emphasize those diphthongs, because every vowel is one. There is no – or little – rounding of the vowels. At least among the locals.
