I’m currently in 9th grade just started High School this year as a freshmen about 5-6 weeks ago as of Augest 14th. I’m a Florida resident have lived here all my life. But I’m wanting to get a head start on looking for colleges or trade schools to give me more options to choose from when the time comes for me to go to college. My career I’m wanting to go into is to be a Diesel Mechanic. And I’ve been looking online some for a few colleges. But all I’ve found so far is Santa Fe College in Alachua FL & possible Universal Technical Institute, but they only have 1 college in Florida which is training from the Ford Motor Company. I was curious though if any of you guys could help me out in finding some other diesel Mechanic colleges in Florida. If you guys could help me with that, that would be awesome. Thanks if you can
Possibly Mass Maritime in Buzzards Bay, MA (Cape Cod)
Check out the Heavy Equipment Mechanics program at Immokalee Technical College. You like diesels? OK, they partner with Caterpillar.

Cat also has a program just north of Florida at South Georgia Technical College:

If, for some reason, diesel-powered “yellow iron” is not your thing, there’s also a diesel truck and bus program at Florida State Jacksonville.

Check with local diesel mechanical companies to see where their best employees come from, you may even get some sort of internship while you’re in high school due to the high demand for diesel mechanics.
Nice, Thank you so much. I’ll deffinatly look into it. Also funny thing is in my Ag Class today a Guest Speaker from Wyotech University came and I guess they do have Diesel & Automotive Technology programs there too but only in Wyoming & Pennsylvania so I think me and a friend might be interested in it idk. But again thanks for letting me know about them as well!
