Looking for Financial Aid as an International Transfer Student

Hello All!

My name is Kyle Lee and I am looking to transfer Fall 2012 as a physics major. I have been living in the State for 10 years now, but I still happen to be an international student. My parents are having difficult time financing me even for CC, and thus I was looking to receive financial aid from univ when I transfer.

Can you guys please help me and let me know if there is any univ. that suits me and that will provide me with assistance?

Other facts: first generation college student, f-1 visa holder, will be transferring as a Junior.

I really love learning, and I wish to continue learning and eventually obtain research doctorate. I hope I can find a way to continue to pursue my education.

Sincerely,
Kyle

can anybody please provide me some help?

There aren’t terribly many colleges with financial aid for international transfer student. Most of the need-based aid is awarded by the top 20 national universities and top 30 liberal arts colleges (by [US News](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges)).

If you are looking for colleges with academic scholarships, the transfer adviser at your community college might be able to help.

Thank you for your help Barium! :D
