I need suggestions for food gifts under $50 that I can send for Christmas. Not looking for the usual Harry & David, Omaha Steaks, etc. but for gifts that are truly delicious and maybe a little out of the ordinary. I’m open to anything from sweet to savory, breakfast foods to desserts, or just snack foods. Maybe I can even cash in on a Black Friday deal today!
Check out Zingerman’s and Cherry Republic for someone different. My mom and I just sent a “love you” Cherry Republic care package to my oldest son. My sibling like’s Texas Tamale Company and send those to us occasionally.

If there is a jam fan on your list, the BEST jams and chutneys EVER can be found at Nervous Nellie’s Jams & Jellies. Homemade in Maine. It’s really special — We buy a case every year. They do have a website and do lots of mail orders.
Costco online might have somthing. We’ve sent popcornucopia with happy results.

Oscar’s Smokehouse in the Adirondacks makes fabulous smoked meats and cheese. We have a relative who sends us a gift box each year and we always look forward to it!

I wish somebody would send me some Lebanon Bologna. Can’t buy it here.
I may be the odd woman out, but mail order baked goods usually aren’t that good. In order to remain fresh, they have to contain preservatives that adversely affect the flavor. I would go with something that can be shipped in dry ice, such as smoked fish, meat or cheese; or with jams and jellies, as suggested above. And wine is always a lovely gift!
Beecher’s cheese is amazing.

Penzey’s Spices are a welcome gift here in my house. ![]()
See’s Candy. Penzey’s Spices. The latter has a lot of good deals this season. One thing to be aware of with mail-order foods is that the shipping costs are often very high. Not so with the two I’ve mentioned but true for others that I’d like to buy from more often, such as Nueske’s (best known for bacon).
Thanks, everybody. There are some great suggestions here. I agree about the baked items not always being fresh.
The Beecher’s cheese looks really good!
Does Harringtons still do smoked meats? Honestly they were awesome. In Vermont.
For something different.

This place is sort of right around the corner from me! Excellent smoked things. Best bacon ever! And if you are a beef jerky fan (I am not) it’s good…but pricey!
These are delicious -have sent them to my daughter - http://www.wickedwhoopies.com/
We have given a subscription to Graze.com (snack foods) for x months. It was a hit.
Young plantation pecans are awesome. They have various kinds. We like the chocolate, and the praline pecans are the best.
If you know someone who likes beer…get the Craft Beer of the Month Club. I gave it to DH, and it was a HUGE hit. 12 bottles a month…4 each from 3 different craft breweries. You can pick the number of months, and either do every month or every other month.
