Louisiana State University Class of 2029 Official Thread

Where do you see the financial aid info?

Admissions told us that they start releasing scholarship decisions after Dec 15th, on a rolling basis.

There is a specific link for financial aid. It’s hosted on the Workday platform. You probably got an email with a link to the site. Your log in credentials are the same as the admissions portal site. The first part of the URL will be: “https://wd1-student.myworkdaysite.com/
” There you will have a couple of links, one of which is “View my Financial Aid packages” and that will show any merit scholarships and any financial aid you qualify for via FAFSA.

OK, ours says $0 for scholarships, maybe that will be updated? With no communication other than this info which was updated today, this is all the info we can go on. Good luck to you!

Where do we find this link? My daughter was admitted in November. She has not received an email or any info about financial aid or scholarships and we have never seen this website in any communication.

Link doesn’t work for me

We got an email two days after my kid’s acceptance, and it’s from “LSU Workday Support” to reset password in order to “access the student portal” which is different from the application portal where you see your decision. I’m attaching a screenshot of the email.

You follow a link to reset password and you have access to another site on which you can access Financial Aid info.

Ok. We were able to reset her password with the link. There was a tab for financial aid info that said we weren’t getting any. That tab was there on Saturday. Today it is gone. Nothing about financial information at all on workday. I really hope they are just doing updates or preparing to send out information. I don’t see paying full price at LSU when my daughter got $$ to go to other similar or higher ranked schools, some of which start with a lower price tag.

Applied 09/08, transcripts and recommendations were finalized by 09/25. I’m a senior with an okay GPA, I didn’t submit test scores, 4 year varsity athlete though with leadership positions in my sport. I’ve gotten into every other school I have applied to so far including Texas Tech and Alabama (I feel like both of these should be very similar to LSU) I called and they essentially told me I had to just wait for a response. Just wondering if anyone has an idea what is taking so long or why I haven’t gotten a response. I feel like if they didn’t accept me I would’ve gotten that information already. My major is general studies so maybe that’s why. This is basically just a long waiting game but it is hard seeing all of my friends already set on where they are going to college and already having housing all set up when I have no idea where I am gonna go because I am waiting on this info back. I am from Texas so it could be an out of state thing..? Really any info on this would be helpful. Thanks!

My son’s application was finalized about two weeks after yours (OOS too - Massachusetts)
 Business Major
 still no word
 :frowning: hopefully soon.

Ours disappeared too. Same situation as you - $0 scholarship, but now the tab is gone.

We are OOS in Mass and anxiously waiting a decision too

We are in the same boat. My D submitted SAT and fits well into the accepted GPA/SAT. It is very hard waiting. Hang in there!

It states: “*NOTE: We will begin awarding Merit Scholarships in mid-December. Any applicable action items will begin populating in early Spring.”

I don’t think scholarships have been added yet.

I would think LSU and Alabama have very similar admission criteria. OOS applicant. Alabama admitted him within like ten days after all materials received. With LSU it’s been several months. No idea what the deal is. It would make no sense for him to not get in but I guess you never know. It’s annoying.

It’s been 4 days since our financial portal went from awarding $0 in merit or loans to not showing any financial info at all. Anybody else experience this?
We are trying to plan school visits and LSU is quite far from us. It’s only worth it if there is some merit award.

D24 Oos, accepted to HC last week. Waiting on merit also.
