Low A level grades after deferred entry to an ivy league uni

I got accepted to an ivy league uni with excellent IGCSE result n SAT score. But a night before my first A level exam my cancer patient mom, who was on radiotherapy, collapsed and had to be placed on ventilator after a large tumor in her lung ruptured. She had to undergo an immediate surgery and then remained on ventilator for 21 days. I informed my uni about the whole situation n they deferred my entry . Now that the A level results are out , I got a B , E and E. I am extremely worried that the uni may revoke/rescind my admission even though i have got myself registered for a retake in Oct/nov . Please suggest if i should send this result to the uni or wait for the result of retake.

I think that you should explain the situation to the admissions staff at the university that you want to attend. Having your mother collapse from the effects of cancer the night before your tests is a very significant issue. Admissions staff are human beings.

I think that you should ask the university to wait for the results of your retake. However, other people here on CC might know better than me.
