Low GPA, High SAT, Chances?

<p>So I have pretty bad grades freshmen/sophomore year but my PSAT is pretty high.</p>

<p>UW: 3.17
PSAT: 217
I predict I can get to about 2300-2350 on the actual SAT after prep. If I get decent grades next year (I’m going to be a junior), what colleges could I realistically get into? I plan on taking the Chemistry SAT II after AP chem and possibly Math SAT II.</p>

<p>Freshmen:
English 1 H: B/B
Theater Tech: A/A-
Spanish II: A+/A
Geography: B/B+
Biology H: B-/B+
Algebra 2 H: B/B</p>

<p>Sophomore:
Chemistry H: B+/A-
English II H: B-/B-
Music Technology: A+/A-
Pre-Calculus H: C/C-
Spanish 3 H: A-/B
World History H: C/C-</p>

<p>Junior:
AP Chem
AP Computer Science
English 3 H
Spanish 4 H
US History H
Calc Honors</p>

<p>I’m going to have about 250-300 service hours at my local hospital by the time I’m applying.</p>

<p>Also, I breed ball pythons and leopard geckos. Does that count as an extra curricular?</p>

<p>if your gpa comes out to < 3.3 unweighted (which it seems it probably will) then you probably wont get into schools with SAT averages > 2000.</p>

<p>i would be cautious about overestimating your ability to raise your gpa.</p>

<p>Yes^, its crazy hard to raise gpa. I had like a 3.98 in freshman year, and now I could only put it up to a 4.18 at the end of junior year. This is WITH getting awesome grades. </p>
