Anybody ever been to an Admitted Lions Day? Thinking of going on March 25, but I want my kid to really love it. She fell out of love w/LMU when we visited on a summer Sunday when no one was around, and I think her attitude was skewed by that, so hoping for a really positive experience.

If my DD fully commits to LMU, we will for sure attend Admitted Students Day (we live in SO CA).

My daughter was admitted to LMU EA in December. It is her first choose but a lot depends on merit and the UC system.

Iā€™ve ran the NPC but I donā€™t know how they calculate GPA and the NPC givens me a very wide range

Has anyone that was admitted ED received an award package and can yoiu share any details?

My son is a freshman at LMU and we attended the Admitted Students Day and found it very welcoming and helpful. It was our first time seeing the school, so he did not have any bias upon seeing it. There will definitely be students on campus on a Monday. Starting on Wednesday, the campus will be much quieter as there are no classes W-F the week of Easter. Good luck on your decisions!

My son was admitted EA as well, and we received an email saying the award notification will be distributed today. Hereā€™s hoping!

Just got the award notificationā€¦ $15K. Very underwhelmed. Letting LMU go. Hope everyone else got amazing merit!!!

My kid received two separate merit scholarships, one general and one major specific, both renewable, for a total of $32,500. His total financial aid package was bang on with our FAFSA SAI results (even though LMU of course, doesnā€™t have the FAFSA numbers yet, their institutional aid application apparently worked well for estimating).

Therefore, LMU is still in the mix for us.

Wanted to add more info because I am reading previous conversations that wonder if Catholic HS students get priority for merit. We are OOS, kid attends a public charter and is not Catholic. His brother received Arrupe Scholarship for similar amount 5 years ago, but ended up attending another school.

We are pretty excited! We werenā€™t sure about considering, but now will consider.
Son received:
LMU Grant $7300
LMU Early Action Award $2000
Presidential Scholarship $30,000 (renewable for 4 years)

They both appear to be! The particular scholarship for his major is listed under existing scholarships. Others on that list awarded annually with no guaranteed additional funding have an asterisk and this one doesnā€™t. We will have to verify though.
