One of my seniors who applied last year told the admissions that he didnt do anything in his gap year and he got rejected. His stats were not bad either. You just have to show them that you had a legitimate reason for taking a gap year.

@neekastic Lmao sorry. This year has made me bitter. U are defo gonna get in. Ur credentials are awesome and lums is so unpredictable so think positive and pray to God. Everything is for ur own good. Believe me it’s gonna be better
@ha1999 Yes lums looks at the overall profile, not just grades. This includes the personal statement and extra curriculars to be the most significant.
@kokab1950 I’ve got my roll number too. It’s just that the people who have got the conditional offer and have submitted the fee and the info for FBR have got them.

@StudyBuddy0 I know a guy who got into SAHSOL and then revised to SDSB with average credentials a gap year and I read his activities and personal statement Idk but it wasn’t even average. He hardly wrote anything solid there. And literally 2 awards and achievements in total. Idk what other things LUMS counts as over all
@neekastic if that’s the case then I think they take into account the school you attended, reference letter and family background etc.
I was just reading through the thread and who ever is worried about things like a gap year or which school/background or such things, trust me these things don’t matter at all. The crowd in lums is mixed af, you have people from all over Pakistan and there are quite aloot of gap year students as well. Also trust me awards and personal statement dont even matter. Its just your grades, SAT and luck. Literally that bas.
