LUMS Fall 2020 Admissions (Mega-Thread)

@breakdown101 What Are Your Credentials?

Dont really know if its true or not but sm guy on fb page said smthng abt calling the lums office n was told the admissions were closed now. Though not really possible as seats are still vacant but maybe they r reviewing cuz of coronavirus

Also someome was asking that lums has changed its rolling policy to 9 june( dont know what that means) but it had smthng to do with 2 rounds of acceptances. Does anyone has any idea abt that?

@alihaaa1122 He was talking about the MBA admissions, not undergrad.

@SHIZA12

Can anyone please help with this?(posting for the 2nd time)
Hello people, I want to get into the business school at lums, the Management sciences program. SAT 1390 20/24 essay, FSC Part 1 pre med 86%, but unfortunately my matric score is just 73%, do I stand a chance? Second choice would be Economics at the social sciences school. I didnt apply for fall 2020, for some reasons im taking an year off, but will be applying for fall 2021, will be done with my FSC part 2 by then as well with hopefully a 85+%. Just worried about that low matric score, any takes?

@HarshKumar Don’t worry, you have a great SAT score and FSc percentage. Matric doesn’t matter much I guess. The whole admission process is pretty vague. Just don’t waste your gap year and do some internship or job.

@misbahnoor22 yes im planning on some, I did indulge in a lot co curricular activities back in school, but I only have like 2 actual certificates to show for it. So Im planning to make up for it by doing a couple internships, my cousin owns a really good software firm in Karachi, planning to do an internship there. Also planning to do some volunteer work for multinational charity organisations such as Unicef, my father knows some people who work for Unicef in Pakistan. And yes, UCD (University College Dublin) also is offering an online course/certificate in International Business, it has a huge group of people who participate from around the globe and its really good.( a friend of mine goes to UCD undergrad that’s why I know), might take that up also, wanna take no chances lol.

Anyone got acceptance today?

@Emmmmmy nope :frowning:

This wait is killing me?

I think we’ll all have to just accept the fact that the 2nd batch decisions aren’t coming until at least mid-May, or even later May. Proceed with this mindset and just enjoy your life.

@FasihZ Exactly

How many of yall here are round two peeps , cuz iam too and the wait is nerve wrecking
