Got my decision at last: rejection. Maybe cuz of financial aid or maybe cuz of my odd background. I’m surprised, but glad that the uncertainty is finally over. The irony is, today’s my birthday lol.
Thank God I had applied to IBA, but I’m still not sure how much scholarship they’re offering.

Thank you! I have definitely applied for aid. But the good thing about IBA is, their fee is almost half that of LUMS. So even a 25% scholarship would do, whereas I requested a 75% scholarship from LUMS.
I’m not upset by the decision (well, not much). It’s just that events are just events, you know. We categorize them as good or bad. A rejection is just a rejection; my mind can either interpret it as bad or as something good—a new opportunity.
BTW, thanks to you I actually applied to IBA; I wasn’t planning on doing so before you told, cuz I was sure I’d be accepted in LUMS. Lucky break lol.
Hi, guys. I am going to sound like a dork here replying so late xD. But you guys are talking about the normal LUMS website where you login using your username & password & then it takes you to the page where you initially filled your application & it states the date of your application submission & then the “staus”, when you refer to the “portal”, from where you are getting your accepted, rejected or wait listed, statuses, right?
Asking because mine still says “accepted” in green, &… isn’t it too late now? When I didn’t get anything in mail or email till June I gave up, till I stumbled upon this thread today & logged in to see.
I know this sounds incredibly dumb lol, but would appreciate if anyone can reply.
@Sorrylate if it says "accepted " then you will definitely get an offer. Just click on “processing status” you’ll have more info there.
with so many good credentials being waved off, i really dont have much hope for lums. They NEED to put us waitlisted students at ease ajeeb matlab

This is so frustrating bro. I have to pay my fees for Habib by tomorrow and I’m waiting for a decision from LUMS because Habib is also super expensive. Ughhh theyre really messing with us
i have to pay my fast dues by 21st cause i obviously need a backup, its so annoying just give me a rejection or an acceptance , they need to stop stringing us along, we need final decisions.

same, but with nust decisions come so late,everyone needs a backup cause its really hard to get in, wanted to keep lums as my backup but obviously not since theyre this lazy and other deadlines are passing by
Guys, this person on the Facebook group just emailed LUMS and apparently LUMS replied that they will inform us shortly. I’m freaking out!!!
My dad teaches at Habib, and all classes will be online at Habib. None will be on campus. But then LUMS is also doing all online. OTOH, their virtual system is the best in entire Pakistan: they recently made a contract with Canvas, which is the best software for online classes.
For other applicants that must respond to other universities, my recommendation would be to just pay the fee and don’t rely on LUMS. God forbid but you folks may end up nowhere if LUMS doesn’t give an acceptance and you also don’t enroll in any other uni cuz you were waiting for LUMS.
For those accepted to IBA, the deadline to submit fee is tomorrow.

Habib is transforming Pakistan’s education standards; mark my words. Their system is superior to that of LUMS, IBA, NUST, etc. It’s the university of the future.
As for my dad, he teaches the course of Logical Problem Solving: it’s mandatory, I think, but quite difficult. I probably would’ve applied to Habib as well, but it had be awkward to go to the same institute where my dad teaches lol.
