Confession…I’m a data geek.
We have a spreadsheet of matriculation stats for Lawrenceville, along with 39 other boarding schools. (It has since been scrubbed from the internet, which is an interesting fact in and of itself). What’s nice about this data is that it separates out where boarding school grads matriculate into, based on four college categories: 1) HYPMS (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT and Stanford); 2) IVY (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton and Yale); 3) Top Schools (top 25 National Universities and top 15 Liberal Arts Colleges); 4) Strong Schools (based on top 50 National Universities and top 30 Liberal Arts Colleges). It then uses that data to assign a “matric strong index score” to each boarding school. VERY nifty tool (understatement) to have access to when considering where to apply. I can make this available to CC by scanning it as a jpg or pdf but then upload it to where?

And on a related topic…did anyone see Business Insider’s latest “most elite boarding schools in america” chart? (Don’t get me wrong…I don’t relate to “elite” per se, but I do enjoy data and this chart includes endowment size, which is hugely important when it comes to financial aid. It also includes acceptance rate.)
