Accepted at Andover with FA and a scholarship! Daughter is over the moon! Was ready to go to a great local day school and will need to check revisit days to decide. She only applied to a few schools and was not expecting a scholarship from Andover. Congrats to all of you today - you will do great no matter what your decisions will be and … LOVE the school that Loves You!

I don’t get waitlists.
In the event you actually get in, they expect you to commit without a revisit day? Can they do some kind of synthetic revisit day? Feeling the vibe of the school in revisit is a major determinant of whether the kid should go, no? Haven’t we heard many stories of kids who swore School A was their top choice only to be turned off at revisit? Sounds risky.
Daughter got into Andover and Milton and waitlisted at Exeter. As much as I love Exeter, I’d be hard-pressed to send her there without a revisit.
Not that it will ever happen

Tbh waitlists are mostly for the benefit of the school rather than the student. in the event that less students enroll than predicted, that’s when they take people off the waitlist. i agree tho, i was also waitlisted at exeter and it would be hard to make a decision if i get off without a revisit.
