Anybody receives clarifications or request for additional information from any schools at this stage?

No, I didn’t. Did you? but I gave some update

I sent updated awards/additional information on Feb 20. They added it to my profile.

If any, I presume that it’s definitely not reject (yet) but definitely not clear admit either. The school might be “shaping” the class and trying to get more information to make sure.

Did you originally apply for 9th?

If so, saying that you’re open to 8th is unlikely to help.

Groton’s 8th grade (second form) is extremely small, as you probably know.

Because of that, 8th grade admission is extremely selective and the yield is insane. Parents were told 100% yield recently. Admit rates for the form weren’t shared but we were told it’s much tighter than the overall admit rate for the school.

All of which is to say: if you didn’t originally apply to 8th grade, then don’t kick yourself. If your heart originally told you to shoot for 9th grade, then trust in your own judgment and hope for the best. Good luck!

omg for freshman yr? good luck!!! its a great school i love it here

@treenuggets how was it dealing with moving to boarding school plus dealing with the stress of junior year? we essentially have to hit the ground running haha, im a bit nervous i wont be able to cope up

so, in hindsight, i did NOT lock in as hard as i should’ve junior year HAHA. tbh at the beginning i was a little bit more focused on making good friends than i was for academics, but i was able to get my act together by the end of the year. i’m committed to college now— senior year WAS inarguably my strongest academically, but also, it’s good to have an upward trend. colleges will understand that transferring schools is hard. i’m going to a college with a sub 30 acceptance rate, so i certainly don’t think i did all that shabby!

No one knows how to track packages from Canada (for Andover)?

I guess, you can use fedex, ups, dhl, usps for tracking.
