I’m working on a global non-profit thingy for debate right now with some of my debate partners and it’s super stressing but at least it gets my mind off of M10!

Does anyone here know about or have some insight into the Hopkins School in New Haven, CT? I’ve heard it’s really good.
The swim coach at Loomis just emailed my friend and he’s basically getting recruited!

So he kinda got his decision early? I thought that TSAO schools didn’t do that, but I’m not surprised.
No, he just got an email from the coach saying “I will recommend you to the admissions office, and try my best to make you a future pelican!” or something among those lines.

I just had my interview for Emma like an hour ago because I wasn’t able to do one earlier and they reached out and tried to get me to do one so I did
My interviewer told me and my parents that she read my application file, essays, etc. and said I was a great potential match for the school and that I would probably get accepted, but no promises. (That’s part of the reason why she asked to interview me) She also mentioned one of my essays.
Does that mean I have a good chance or is that basically what everyone gets to hear? I’m curious about how the Emma interview was for others who also applied. I was nervous about doing an interview as I heard that the interviews were pretty bad, but my interviewer was actually really nice.
I thinks USPS only works for American residents. I don’t know about the other outlets you listed, but thanks regardless.

The fact that they said you would probably get accepted is a fantastic sign. Also, the fact that THEY reached out to you for an interview is also great. I don’t see any reason for you not to get accepted. Your application is nothing less than fantastic. And if it’s true that Emma has an acceptance rate of around 35%, I think your chances are very high. Also, the interviewer mentioning your essays is a good sign that they probably liked them. If you want me to review that essay/s also, I can if you want. But you having a good interview is a great sign, and I think you have a really good shot at getting accepted.

is it only me but I admit I used to look down on great, “mid-tier” boarding schools such as loomis chaffee, taft, brooks etc but when actually researching them I wouldn’t mind going especially brooks

If i’m accepted to both schools, it’ll be a big decision.
Loomis has been my DREAM SCHOOL since forever, but today’s interview with Emma changed my perspective a lot. The interviewer was so passionate and said things like education and helping young girls grow and learn is the reason that pulls her out of bed each day. Also for Loomis i’ll be a day student, but for Emma i’ll be boarding.
So I don’t know…
Where are you applying? Do you like the Idea of boarding?
