Guys my country, Bangladesh, is really unfamiliar to these boarding schools. I know 3 students including me applying for these schools this year from the whole country as far I know and from 2 different district for 3 different grades, 9, 10 and 11. I am applying for 10th. Does it increase my chance? What do you think guys?
I think a slight geography bump can help. Last year, my child was one of two applicants from our country (fewer than 30 million people) at three of his schools, and the only one at the other school. They let us know when we asked after M10. I hope the three of you are applying to several different schools? At the end of the day, it really comes down to the individual applicant.
Good luck to you! It takes courage to consider traveling so far and becoming independent at a young age. Your willingness to do so is to be commended!
There are 177 million to 178 million people living in our country. We 3, almost applied for same schools.

I also don’t think that many people apply from Texas, and even if, I think I am a pretty qualified applicant
i thought texas was pretty competitive atleast from a college POV because of all the cracked asians
I don’t know, but I don’t believe that a lot of Texans are applying for BS
Coming from Bangladesh will certainly help you stand out in terms of improving the school’s diversity. However, I would presume that, as the schools’ admissions are holistic, being an academic high achiever may not be sufficient. You may also need to demonstrate overall preparedness through extracurriculars like sports, music, or leadership. Unfamiliarity with your school, grading system, and etc. may also be a hindrance. Do you go to the local American school or something? And, do you need FA?
scools want diversity too
cracked asians

Only three people out of over 100 million is a crazy low number, but I’m not too surprised.
in countries like bangladesh, where the GDP per capita is quite low and so i access to internet, I doubt the vast majority of people even know what an international boarding school is hence this lack of familiarity is likely why there are so few applicants
ye its unique, Where r u applying
besides GLADCHEMMS all the well ranked schools like NMH and Blair ![]()
You got thisss!!! What’s your top
whichever school accepts me ![]()
Yeah, most of the students don’t apply for these schools in this age, and most people don’t even know about these schools…. But I am scared whether these schools accept students from this country which is really unfamiliar in these school.
be proud of urself tho because your the best of the best
