So I think you should start with a default that there will not be any special communications.
Then sometimes they happen anyway. Like if you had prior contact with someone involved in a particular interest, for example a sports team coach, they might have it on their agenda to reach out at some point. That’s nice, but it doesn’t guarantee admission, nor does the lack of such a contact imply you won’t be admitted.
i feel like i’m extra aware of how close m10 is now but it might just be bc it’s march now and bc it’s the weekend so i don’t have school to distract me
This is true, the schools have put different items on their Instagram stating that the tour guide are writing notes to students and its stressing me out!
Hey guys, current Loomis freshman here, I just wanted to pass on some advice, as I remember being exactly here last year. I’ll be quick, but the right thing will happen. Everything will work out. I know it is super stressful, and anxiety inducing. Believe me I know. But you are capable and talented. Unfortunately, so often admissions are way less about you than they are numbers. But no matter what comes in the next few days here, you handeled this and you did it! There is rarely any appreciation for how difficult private high school admissions are, its super stressful and hard, but you guys all made it! So congratulations! Its not easy, but here you are. If you get into your dream school, amazing! That’s truly so great! But if you don’t, its also ok! You are still a great student and person, and that matters infinitly more than where you went to high school or what you did when you were a teen. There isn’t anything you could’ve done, its genuinely out of our control.
Obviously some boarding schools notify before March 10. That includes three out of the six boarding schools my D30 applied to, so she has heard from them.
Schools (at least some of the ones I applied to) are starting to send out emails with what time their decisions are releasing btw. Is there usually a thread where ppl put these or no just curious
