Mac for Comm School?

I know that the MacBook Pro is approved for McIntire on the Cav Computers website. However, I wonder if the amount of Excel and PowerPoint work would make a PC the better option. Of course, I’m making many assumptions, as I’ve not been admitted and my comments about Exel and PowerPoint are really just educated guesses. Thoughts?

My son is a rising 4th year in Comm and he has a Mac. No issues.
