Hello,
I got a D in Honors Pre Calc second semester of Junior Year. I am planning to take a math class at PCC to boost my GPA. However, we need to take a math assessment test to see which math level we should be placed in. If I get placed into a lower math level, then should I still take the class or will there be no point since the point is to make up for the D. Thank you!
It really depends on what your goals are. If you simply want to raise your GPA and don’t place into the class the don’t take it. If you realllly want to get rid of that D, you can take the lower classes and work your way up to pre-calc. If you also want to raise your SAT/ACT score, review more material you didn’t understand, etc. then do it. Although I can say both of the options I listed can be done cheaper with a review book, some people learn better with people teaching it too them.
