Man tells U of M student to remove hijab or he'd set her on fire in Ann Arbor

African-American Military Veteran Ernest Walker had food taken away by Chili’s Manager after White man wearing Trump t-shirt questioned his military service. And that was despite Walker showing his military ID, discharge papers, and papers for his service dog.

I went to the grocery store, bought a half-gallon of milk for myself, and $20 worth of other groceries, which I immediately took to the food pantry. I dropped into my local branch of Dryhootch (an organization for military veterans) and wrote a check on the spot. I’m being kind to everyone I meet.

I also fear for targeted groups but one of my greatest fears is for the press. I think the slightest opposition to this administration will be bullied into silence.

My FB feed tells me that wearing a safety pin is a thing now. It’s a sign of being a safe person for those in groups being harassed to speak with.
