Anyone’s child considering Arches? S won’t even have some acceptances in by the deadline. Considering if it’s worth potentially losing $1000 to hold his spot. Need to find some students who participated to get some information, see if it was worth it.
I was thinking the same thing. My S is leaning toward MC but we are waiting to hear about merit from some other schools. Did you find any further info about Arches?
@Bkmomto3 I did a bit of research but there really isn’t much out there about the program. I started another thread hoping to hear from a student or parent with insight but so far no input. I don’t think he’s going to put the money down - still awaiting on four acceptances, and Manhattan isn’t his first or second choice, though it may move up if he doesn’t get into his first.
@taverngirl Hopefully someone responds to your thread. Thanks for posting.
Does anyone know when MC notifies students of their need based financial aid awards? Are they generous?
We were told late Jan/early Feb for the financial aid award package.
@AJB2021 We received our FA package today. I guess better than expected - we expected none - but not great. It’ll be one of our more expensive options, but it’s still in the running.
We have not received a decision yet- how long after you applied did you hear from Manhattan? I thought it was rolling admissions
My son applied end of October and heard back before Christmas.
I got my FA package the other day.
Also, has anyone registered for accepted students day. I did, and then they asked me to fill out a survey, which at the end gave me a list of all my classes. Did anyone else get this?
@CMH2024 My son signed up for the April 1 accepted students day but was not given a survey. What’s your major?
I’m hoping we hear soon. When I was running the net price calculator, it was definitely one of our most expensive options.
@taverngirl Communications through the College of Liberal Arts. I signed up for the accepted students day on April 15th, but I doubt that’s why he didn’t get it. When did your son hear back? That also may have something to do with it, but I’m not really sure.
@CMH2024 he heard back in mid-December I believe.
@taverngirl Huh? I got my acceptance package on 12/20.
