Everything aaralyn said . . . and do contact your AO to find out what you can do to improve your application for next year. But wait until at least April 30 to do it . . . you’ll get a much better response once the dust has settled from the current admissions cycle. They won’t have tossed your file - just send an email saying you’d like to have the conversation and give the AO a chance to pull your file and set a time to talk with you.

19 days. This is, huh.

So nervous… I applied to hotchkiss, sps, and choate… I feel lyk I should hav applied to more schools…=[

Bump!! Did anyone apply to Berkshire loomis or hothkiss?

I have just remembered that I did apply to Loomis.

15 days gaise.

I’m going crazy from nervousness.

@blehjoints: Which schools did you apply to, and for which grade?

choate/hotchkiss/andover, 10th :)

Time is going by waaayy to slow! :/

yeah every day is like…ugh…another one

but when it comes and I’m rejected and WLed everywhere I’ll be wishing March 10 never came…

@CollegeCookie: YEAH, I FEEL THE SAME WAY! (yay for caps lock :D) I want to know so badly, but at the same time… not at all! Ehh, confidence issues -__-"

@doomedforfailure: I think I’ve just found a fellow pessimist :D

We pessimists need to stick together lol.

I’m always expecting the worst, not daring to hope for the best. With this whole under 15% crap…well…uh, not looking so good for me.

Lol yeah, go pessimistic powers! -.-"

Yeah, right? The stats scare me along with the amazing chance-me things on CC… and then the CC-ers’ comments are like, “Yeah, you’re an okay-ish candidate. Average applicant.” And I’m like… O___O

@doomedforfailure: *sigh my parents are like totally taking it easy this whole process and I’m the only one freaking out.

They’re like : “Oh, it doesn’t really matter whether or not you get in. This is just preparation for college admissions.” And I’m like 0_________0 “I think the whole college admission process is only meant to be done once. Just like h***: no one wants to go through more times than absolutely necessary.”

Guys, I just stopped looking at Chances.

They were stressing me out WAY too much, so yeah.

I stopped after realizing that it didn’t make a difference anyway… I couldn’t really make myself stand out in like 2-3 months anyway.

And @CollegeCookie, yeah, my parents said similar things. But I know that if I don’t get accepted by at least one, they’re going to be angry. Or disappoint. (I meant ‘disappoint’; it’s not a typo xD)

HAHA sounds like my parents. “Look on the bright side, even if this doesn’t work, at least you’ll be prepared for college apps!” But then again, this year, whenever I complain about school at ALL, like something as simple as a teacher giving me a hard day, they go “Well it’s not our fault you couldn’t get into boarding school, we were willing to let you go.” so I’m like … is that related in ANY way? GAH. Parents.

Anyway, YAY PESSIMISTS! Wow, there’s an oxymoron right there. :D

Wow… I guess I’m not the only one xD Another week and it’ll be over… wow.

And yes, pessimists rule! :D

@doomedforfailure: "Today: 9:01AM <----------this

How?

Aren’t you in school? Break? Time Zone Difference? Just plain ol’ sneakitude?
