Dukes loss should be a good thing for my Uconn Huskies!

I had picked Duke to beat Arizona, but I obviously underestimated Derrick Williams. He is one of the best ball handlers I have ever seen for a big guy and he obviously is a great scorer. His first half was nothing short of amazing. I thought the real difference, though, were the offensive rebounds that Arizona grabbed in the second half.

Aztecs - nope ![]()
BYU - nope

Likin’ the Arizona and Butler wins. But do I even want to look at my brackets?

Not really.

Quick check in with you guys. Thanks so much for all the condolences. Unfortunately and unfortunately, all too many people know the pain of losing a pet.

As for basketball, my friends I’m staying with in the Texas hill country have tickets for the regionals in San Antonio this weekend (I’ll be heading off to another friend’s house tomorrow). They have been so bummed about the match ups since last weekend. Well, after tonight, there’s no telling what’s going to happen in San Antonio this weekend! I kidded the husband (who has picked Kansas in his final game) that it might be more fun to watch an upset of Kansas this weekend than to win his bracket, that it would be an epic win. He agreed and said he’d rather lose the bracket and see a great upset.

I am in last place. Does this pool payout for last place? ;)

(And yes, my dog is beating 11 of us.)

Go heels! I am such a good sport, today, I will say not one word about Duke.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

OHHHHHHHH. you again.

My son said last night was the best night of the year for him; better than his birthday! He said he looks forward every year to the day Duke loses, especially when Carolina wins. :)

Go Heels!!!

VCU still alive waving the CAA flag (and sticking it to Dickie V and Jay Bilas)

Kansas is the only team that can get me more points (my other three final 4 teams are out). My only other elite 8 team was UNC. Luckily I have Kansas winning, so I am still slightly alive.

Any night Kentucky wins is a sad night. That said, they are playing out of their minds and it would have been nice if Ohio State had brought their A game.
Poor Marquette and Richmond. They ran out of gas.
My brackets are a joke.

Ohio only plays like 7 players. I’m sure they were done in. Not looking forward to Kentucky on Sunday, even less so Kansas, who has practically had a by into the final four and should be as rested as if they had nothing but practice.

I predict whoever wins the top of the bracket wins the tourney. VCU is the story, though. Especially with all the haters when they were named as a play-in team.

MOWC ~ My brackets are awash in red ink. I think I only have UConn left in one bracket and Kansas in another. I didn’t even bother looking at my other 2 brackets which are much farther down the list. Well at least I can watch the games and just enjoy them now instead of rooting for someone so that my bracket does well!

That’s true. I forgot about UConn. Kitty, you could potential end up with the two final teams, really. Not bad.

I’m just glad that the Elite 8 games will all be on at reasonable hours for those of us on the East Coast. I’m annoyed that I missed some really good games the past 2 nights because they ended late. The first 2 games yesterday were really uncompetitive.

Go UConn.

Any night Ohio State loses is a good night. Thank you Kentucky. Duke *and *OSU out–my vindictive heart is happy.

Except that I have UConn left in one bracket (Kitty57) and Kansas left in the other bracket (Kitty56). So I don’t actually have them both surviving in the same bracket! I have no one left in the Final 4 in my other 2 brackets. So I am pretty much done!

Ohhh. You did more than one bracket. I see.

Yeah, I think that Uconn v. Arizona is today’s best game.

UNC v UK tomorrow’s best game.

Should be some good basketball, even if you can’t win, anymore.

Garland, I found myself looking for the “like” button on your post. Nothing makes me happier than a Kentucky win accompanied by a Duke loss. Now I just need a North Carolina loss.

Yes, CC needs a like button.
