From an AP article:
Calipari has repeatedly told anyone who will listen that he doesn’t care about conference tournaments, viewing them as a nuisance before the NCAA tournament because of the three-games-in-three-days grind.

“I wish this would have happened yesterday so we got home a day earlier,” Calipari said.

UK fans who can’t afford regular season tickets or who can’t get access to them make the SEC Tournament a home court advantage with their attendance each year. Calipari’s remarks seem a little ungrateful to those fans who make the effort to follow the Wildcats to the tournament each year.

^^ And you would expect less from Calipari? Those poor players, though. They probably have to give back their cars since they lost the game and embarrassed him.

That said, here is a rare moment when I’m going to say something nice about Kentucky. Anthony Davis is a truly astounding player. Absolutely gifted and also not a jerk. In fact, almost all this year’s crop of Kentucky players are fairly decent. No thugs like in past years. Talented and will enjoy their millions.

Pretty happy Vandy won out. A 5-seed against Harvard is fairly good, especially considering a week or two ago, they were projected as 6 or even 7-seeds. Hopefully they can avoid another upset again.

I saw Vandy play at Davidson this year. They were good - very athletic. I will be rooting for Harvard! (hometown player). And Davidson draws Louisville.

They should take it back down to a smaller number of teams in and make the conference tournament worth something. Now it’s really not worth anything. Kentucky loses and still gets a good seed…

Just finished my brackets while watching ESPN. The “bracketology” special ended, and I left the channel on to watch a few minutes of the special about Magic Johnson announcing his HIV status more than 20 years ago. Now I’m an hour into the program. It’s really compelling. Who would have thought in 1991 that Magic would still be going strong two decades later? I am really impressed with how he faced the diagnosis.

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Go Belmont! I care not for Belmont but I am calling for them to upset the Hoyas, at least on one of my sheets. (I am still congratulating myself for calling the VCU upset over Georgetown last year.)

Well, if anyone has Syracuse going beyond a couple of games, there’s still time to change your bracket. So sad!

But I fully support the rules that are put in place for these athlete students. Maybe they’ll learn the lesson for next year, if he chooses not to go into the NBA draft.

I changed my bracket after the Syracuse news! This gives me more hope for Vandy, if they can get by Wisconsin. I DO care for Belmont, and they certainly could upset Georgetown.

I took some fliers on my CC bracket and was more conservative in one of my other pools. We’ll see.

Too busy to even think, so I dashed my bracket off this year in one minute, using the “free association/complete hunch” method. So I’ll probably do better than ever.

I submitted the maximum three brackets and now it looks as if I’m the only one who did. Oh, well. So excited. March Madness is my favorite holiday season, even better than the weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.

Go teams on my brackets! All three of my brackets!

^^ Nope - I submitted three brackets as well. I just messed up the name of one of them, lol. It looks like a couple of people submitted at least two.
