<p>My CD bracket is the real one. CD2 is my second-guessing. ;)</p>
<p>Mine is based partly on hunch and partly on pure devotion: MIZ-ZOU! My H is a B.A. through Ph.D. alum and our S is a senior. I hope I haven’t jinxed our team by taking them all the way.</p>
<p>I saw them lose badly to Cincinnati in the second round last year in Washington. This year I’ve made my son promise to live Tweet from the Elite Eight in Phoenix. He says he’ll live Tweet from his entire spring break trip, but I think I can do without that.</p>
<p>Asheville is sure keeping it close!</p>
<p>On a side note, lots of discussion here in KY about the new UPS commercial featuring “The Shot.” UPS is hubbed in Louisville. Legislators have told the media that you would think they would realize this is now and forever a sore subject. While I may have demoted my alma mater to my second place team due to the current “one and done” approach to building a team, I still groan seeing those replays 20 years down the road.</p>

<p>Henry picks according to mascot (whatever is closest to a dog, except he takes a few high seeds the first round). Last year he got lucky with Butler and Conneticut. I don’t think he will repeat. And since Syracuse was such a high seed he took them over the NC Bulldogs. He also doesn’t have the Loyola Maryland Greyhounds.</p>
<p>Not sorry to see Southern Miss. lose to Kansas State after hearing the racist taunts that some of their bandmembers were streaming towards a KS player.</p>
<p>^ That’s sad, always. As an athlete, the actions of some of these players (both collegiate and professional alike) just make me very sad. I would rather being on a losing team that practices good sportsmanship than on a winning team that practices poor sportsmanship. Those band members should be promptly removed from that privilege. </p>
<p>I completely forgot to enter this bracket :(. 6-0 as of now though :). (Although so is almost everyone else in my pool lol).</p>
<p>I managed to join the group with my second bracket. Yea!</p>
<p>OMG, my heart fell in my stomach on the Texas loss to Cincinnati. I always pick Cincinnati! But somehow I doubted them on what was my really hot bracket before this afternoon. AARGGH!</p>
<p>I’m a Longhorn fan who knew to pick against them. Sad for them, happy for my bracket.</p>
<p>I also knew to pick against Texas. They are terrible and didn’t belong in the tournament. I also want to see that UT succeed (as opposed to that hated UT in my new home state), but they are just not getting it done.</p>
<p>I am not doing well in my brackets, but I’m willing to take that hit if Vanderbilt can keep winning. (and Indiana)</p>

<p>I saw UT play in person a couple of times this year and look mediocre against teams they should have killed. I think it’s OK putting them in as they’re in a tough conference, but an 11 seed was too high.</p>
<p>With Long Beach State and San Diego State out there are no California teams in the second round.</p>
