<p>What a very sad story. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to receive that news from my H, and ten years after the fact! Such a terrible betrayal, not only by her H but also by the woman who worked in the home for over 20 years and who Maria was undoubtedly close to during that time.</p>

<p>Not that I think what these men have done is right, but the ones that have fathered children, have they not heard of birth control? It boggles my mind that getting these woman pregnant was not a concern of theirs. If they didn’t love their wives, at least think of your children in your home!</p>

<p>Wow, how devastating for Maria and the kids. And he kept it secret for ten years during his political career for his own gain. It would be terrible no matter who the other woman was but for it to be someone who was on their family’s staff all these years and working with Maria regularly, makes it even worse.</p>

<p>Loved the shrink on CNN this a.m. talking about “impulse control, grandiosity and duplicity.” Can’t help wondering if this was an ongoing affair or a one time deal, still horrible. She was the housekeeper?</p>

<p>Arnold has pretty distinctive features. If the woman remained working in the home, has no one seen the child? I agree that this is just sad. I wish ALL the kids in this situation the best.</p>

<p>Apparently the housekeeper claimed it was her ex-husband’s child…which makes me wonder if she was collecting child support from him too. A.S. was paying for the child. Sounds like there was plenty of sleazy behavior to go around. </p>

<p>The press is not revealing the name of the mother out of concern for the child’s privacy…I hope it lasts. The child has done nothing wrong and doesn’t deserve to have their life destroyed – though I certainly hope someone has discussed this with him/her before all this hit the fan.</p>
