Lovely. There has been a massive cellphone outage this morning, affecting AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Fortunately texting is working, but I hope this gets resolved soon!

It’s only ATT but if you are on another carrier calling someone on ATT will be affected.
Interestingly my phone is fine but my H has no service and we are on the same plan. No idea what’s going on with that but he’s not getting any texts unless it’s through apple’s iMessage.
Apparently, Verizon and t-mobile too, but not as bad. It can be seen on
the website downdetector.

The other two are saying it’s their normal outages not the massive one. My t-mobile works just fine…

I’m creeped out because yesterday on CNN they were talking about Russia having the means to disrupt our cell communications

That is strange but I will enjoy the quiet since I know where my kids are and maybe not get many people trying to sell me something

We received a FB message from our fire and EMS folks about this outage, and that it has the potential to impact reaching emergency services.
It sounds like you have WiFfi calling turned on but he doesn’t. Check his Settings under the Cellular tab and scroll down to Wi-Fi Calling

Yep. I have ATT. I can only make calls and text because of WiFi.

Cricket uses the ATT network so they are affected too
Sheriff here said to text 911 calls
And can’t pay the copayment at my PT office
